Pretty much the same way except with their weapons. It also depends on how many hives they have got up.

RhoadsToNowhere

Alien weapons are all in a slot that corresponds to how many hives are required to use the weapon.  In other words:
Slot 1 = 0-hive weapons (bite, spit, slash, claws)
Slot 2 = 1-hive weapons (parasite, spray, spikes, acid rocket, paralyze)
Slot 3 = 2-hive weapons (leap, web, umbra, blink, charge)
Slot 4 = 3-hive weapons (xenocide, babbler, spore, bile bomb, primal scream)

Again, no alien has more than one weapon in a weapon slot, so hud_fastswitch is ideal.
