<b>BlackPlague</b>: If this competition is gonna have random people as judges I don't see what the point of taking it so serious is... Team Leren is working hard on getting a good map out...if this is just gonna be one big farce, let us know now before we invest too much time in this...
The basic map lay-out of Team.Perkele is finished, althought there will be minor changes. We will send you(BlackPlague) the lay-out after everyone has agreed to that. What comes to background story, it's still under development.

PLEASE report whos not doing there job/slackin off/being lazy/switching and changing names.. these rules ARE being broken, and they are not being tolerated!! this calls for some disqualification! Teams update your list and re-post them. UPDATED first page. Please take note of new rules and regulations. Breaking these rules will either Disqualify you or your whole team. so don't ruin it for YOURSELF and for your TEAM MATES.

After discussing with other members of my team we have decided to resign from the contest since we feel that there is no real leadership and we would prefer that our time not be put to waste.

I don't have a problem with the deadline. I just don't see any leadership in this contest. I'm a busy person and I don't feel like putting time and energy in a contest that can't even be mistaken for having organization.
What are you looking for KFDM? Plague is just running and judging the competition, all he can do is give you the rules, pass judgement on whatever you come up with, and give you the money if you win.
The reason that he's trying to get layouts in is that he want's to disqulify the teams that aren't participating, as there is no reason to keep them in the competition.
The deadline is December 31st? By then HL2 will be rocking faces and mappers will be a lot more interested in what the Source engine has to offer than a 6 year old Quake 1 tweak.
It just seems a bit too far off, although I know quality takes time.
yeah but the ns team doesnt know if they will create a ns for hl2, so im going to keep this contest going until they do. and the only way i can keep this goin is to change the rules a little bit everyday and yah im a busy person too, i cant handle EVERYTHING at once...
tequila didn't mention anything about NS. just mappign in general. I'm sure many mappers will indeed be much more interested in working on maps for Source. I don't understand how it can take 6 months to make a combat map with a whole team of people. only lack of organization could be to blame.

Well the thing is that I dont remember there ever being any rule at the beginning of the contest saying that you would have to submit so and so to the public, and then there was, and then it was changed so that you only had to send it to blackplague and hell who knows whats next.
Well, some of the members of our team have been discussing the possibility of puling out of the competition and just making the co map as our own project.. Not sure what the final word on that was.. I hope this competition doesn't fall apart.. I would really like to see the work it produces..

BlackPlague (as unprofessional he has been with the running of the competition) started it and he is trying to keep it going - if you want to stay in - you follow what he says. I personally don't care about the prize - I just wanna make a good map..
