You forget the end showing Red XIII was way off in the distant future, I forget exactly, but it was at least 100 years. Advent Children follows up immediately after meteor.

As for Sephiroth and Jenova... Jenova was an Ancient which was found from 2000 years ago. This is when 'something terrible happened'. Nobody really knows, and AFAIK, its never explained. Sephiroth was 'created' by mixing Jenova cells with him either being inserted into Lucrecia, Vincent's love, or she was already pregnant and experiments were done by Professor Gast to infuse Jenova cells with him. I'm still trying to figure out if you were actually chasing the real Sephiroth, or if the real Sephiroth died and you're chasing a clone. Either way, he has the power of the ancients, and he can find the promised land. But, being the psycho he is, instead of helping the planet in finding eden, he decides he wants to destroy it, and the descendants of the 'traitors' as he explains in Cloud's flashback in Kalm, of the ancients that decided to stop trying to find the promised land and settle down. I still have no idea why he went to the promised land anyway. I'm guessing he wanted to go into it and for some reason because he was an ancient, use its power.... Like I said, for what I don't know, because meteor was already coming. Probably to make himself immortal, like any good evil villain would do. Anyways. His mistake was killing Aeris. By killing her, she joins the lifestream, and her spirit summons Holy to stop the meteor.

aha, thanks otto, you reminded me of a couple things and filled me in on a couple others... as for sephiroth -- wasn't the seph you chased the whole game just a projection of him, and the projection leads you back to his real self, which was frozen in the ice/mako/whatever it was, and that self was freed and you fight it in the endgame?

just working from memory...

my last post was a little hard on the game -- I loved the game at the time, I just get peeved at the main character for being such a yutz

That makes more sense. Real sephiroth resurrects himself by bringing all that was born of Jenova, and Jenova herself back to him inside the promised land.

"6 was great but you no matter how fantastic 2d rpgs can be they can never bring a story to life as 3d can."

Planescape: Torment. Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. Your argument is NOTHING!

in fact, I'd stretch it further and say the first excellent game of any genre on any system someone plays when they're at that crucial age, when their taste in games is forming -- that's the game they'll say is their favorite. that's why I still say chrono trigger is mine, even though when I go back to play it now I can't get as into it as I can get into today's RPGs...

Actually, i dont know. I just found the pictures and no trailer, yet.
Ill update as soon as possible if i find a new trailer.

I dislike FF11.
Because its multiplayer, no story, only to lvl up or get new items, bad grafic, ugly characters, worse landscape i ever seen, ugly menu, and the last. i dont find anything special in FF11 (and yeah, i have played it. i know how the game is)

Those are for the upcoming unreleased trailer if I'm not mistaken.

In any case, let's hope this movie doesn't end up like Final Fantasy : The Spirits Within. Lack of plot == baaaaad.

I thought first, that movie had some connection with the games, but it doesnt.
And i was kinda disappointed,
The movie is all about some group who is looking for some virus, nothing exciting.

Doubt there are gonna be any full pictures of Aeris in AC since she's only a memory now.

But then again, maybe. FTTB, no full shots of Aeris unless you call the lake scene a full shot. Honestly, I'm waiting for one too

Nope, i searched for like 5 minutes ago after a full picture of aeris but didnt find anything new.
I think SquareSoft want us to sit and wait to see a full picture of Aeris.
It's kinda exciting to see Aeris and Tifa in a high quality picture.

Uhh, the end of FF VII is a HAPPY ending.

The world survived, and the humanity lived on. 500 years later, the oldest living creature, Red XIII, stumbled upon the ruins of Midgar, where there used to be a human settlement.

But the biggest disappointment I have with FF VII ending is that, it didn't wrap up the story. What happen between Cid and his assistant, Barret and Marlene? What the hell happen to Vincent and does his flashback serve the purpose? Tifa and Cloud, did they marry? Cait Sith, Yuffie, and Reeve, not even a cameo.

Advent Children better have all the answer.

Now FF VI wrapped up everything nicely before the final showdown.

- Here is some Final Fantasy 12 character's (sorry for dubbel-post)

- And here is two FF7:AC wallpapers:
Wallpaper 01
Wallpaper 02

- I had wrong about FF7:AC story, the movie does act 2 years after the end of the story in FF7. After the meteor, many have been sick and specielly the children. In somehow, i think Sephiroth is still alive and 3 men is after Cloud. I think they are Sephiroth clones if i dont forgot something. Cloud gather his old friends around to stop those 3 men and the disease who hurt the children.

- In FF7:AC, Cloud use a mobile-phone called FOMA P900iV. Its kinda cool and its a ordinary mobile in Japan who got well-known.

Reckon 5 hours. It can ahppen that fast, or slow.

I myself cleared Midgar in 2 hours before for a speed run, but I kept getting slaughtered at the elevator bosses in the Shinra Tower XD

I just finished FFVII.

This time, it's pretty casual. No gold chocobo, no KOTR, no Final-Attack, no W-Summon, only Cloud got the final limit break. Vincent, Red XIII didn't get their last weapons. None of the weapon except Diamond are defeated. No master materia, heck enemy skill materia don't even have whitewind

Sephiroth is still a joke still. All-Wall, All-Haste, All-Regen, and with Cloud doing 2X cut (nope didn't even get to 4x) with Ultima Weapon.

Damn, this FF really is the easiest of them all.
• OrganoXOrganoX Join Date: 2004-03-21 Member: 27473Members
My best time is 15 hours without some materia and etc
With Golden chocobo, all best weapon/limits and etc 23-24 hours.
My point is to get all characters on lvl 99 and have all limits used.

Try going on a speedrun in Midgar without buying any weapons or armor. I assure you that the Shinra Building will give you a run for your money.

But then again, not buying any weapons and armor is plain stupid.

I guess it's pretty easy. The only hard things were Emerald and Ruby. But those get killed easily by those who actually plan their battles.

I guess this was why FF7 was popular. Somewhat easy, but the optional bosses are somewhat hard.

Reminds me of FFX, without Seymour's Total Annihilation XD
• SnidelySnidely Join Date: 2003-02-04 Member: 13098Members
I wouldn't say Ruby was especially hard. Just keep him paralysed and he's in trouble. Of course, two mimes and W-Summon KoTR helps too... (:<
