They're all just built on the same framework, changing up the story, battlesystem, magic system, weapon system, and characters.

Not really....a short summary without any sidequests, just giving the basic setting, good guys, bad guys, the reason for the conflict, and the ending would be fine. </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>
K, here's my go at Final Fantasy X(the simplest of them all):

Guy gets flung into the future 1000 years when his hometown/time Zanarkand is ruined by this thing called Sin. He finds his way onto a pirate ship, then to a Island, meets this hot girl who becomes a summoner, and her "I used Way-too-much Gel" friend, and his Girl/Sister(they never really got it straight throughout the entire game) who is the biggest goth ever(belt dress = win). They fight things, hot girl marries a psycho, then guy has a underwater makout scene with hot girl, then they kill the psycho, then they kill sin, who they also find is actually guy's dad, then guy gets flung back to his original time. </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>
You kinda missed the whole "he ain't real" part of the story....

It's actually 25 minutes of the story wrote by a japanese.

tifa's face is too plain, she's not very pretty at all.

IMO, square is in desperate need of new talent. I'd love to see what some top animation studios like Gonzo or Ghibli could do with a RPG.

I dunno...I quite like Tifa the way she is right now...no more 'OMG I am teh ubar pretty!' in this movie at least.

So, are the stories transcribed somewhere, where I can take a brief 3 hour read through?

And yes I know each games' story is seperate, which is why I'm not banking on getting a transcribed story for all of them, just a few of the better ones would be most excellent. I googled, but all the ones I turn up with are extremely vague and assume you already know most everythng... Kinda like Quaunaut did just now. >_<

Yes posts with references are very confusing to me skyhigh.

It continued that way throughout the entire game, and whenever they mentioned his brother, all I could think was "Incest, eww!", because they were all so similar.

...it really **** me off that Wakka got with Lulu. He was downright MADE for Rikku, seriously.

There is 2 new versions of FF7, one called FF7:Dirge of Cerberus and the other called FF7:Before Crisis.
Dirge of Cerberus is about Vincent and his life during the story of FF7.
And Before Crisis is about the turks and thier story of FF7.
