If you have the time on your hands to train for martial arts, knifefighting, or gunfighting, then the threat wasn't nearly as immediate as you thought was it? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

actualy, most of us saying that MAs are a good thing were also talking about weapons (one of my main ones, Kali, is almost entirely based around weapons)
However, weapons tend to be things you can't have with you at all times (and finding a lead pipe just sitting there is to much to ocunt on <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

you've got a lot of attitude, and very little real information. firearms schools are quite common, and combat handgunning classes are taught at most of the bigger ones.

You're full of crap and you know it. I know you read that on a gun website, YOU know you read it on a gun website. settle down. i've only noticed ONE armchair warrior post. nobody else has been speculating about exactly which piece would be most effective in a given situation etc etc. most of the logical posts in this thread have been regarding the use of firearms in combat as a martial art/discipline.

I would like to add that martial arts does not necessitate being unarmed.
