the ns team is working towards ns 3.0 final, not ns 3.0 beta 6. they WANT beta 6 to be final. that is why the are having the constelation test it while they didnt have consties test any other version. they plan on beta 6 being final.
OMG that is flipping awsome, it looks like he sped up alot of the scenes to make the vid faster. I wonder how he got the map textures to look so awsome tho.
Man if only the gameplay was really like that. All the time.
Id be interested to know if all thos scenes were captured during real games or just set up.
He's probably got Anistropic Filtering and AntiAliasing going full blast, but I doubt he's actually used anything but the default textures/models/sprites. I think the textures look different because he touched up the video file to make the colors look better.

Personally I find the video to be more exciting than the gameplay...But then again playing it is more fun....while comming ftw is the best of them all.
I just thought of somehting...is it possible to record Comm demos? If not then that should be worked on...

Just to clear some things up: I did not use fraps, only the usual startmovie stuff. Commander demos can be recorded and viewed like all other demos (they just look ugly sometimes). There were no changes made to any textures, models, etc. Just some "tricks" to boost image quality to max. Due technical reasons, all scenes had to be recorded on my listenserver, so they're all 'faked' if you want to call it like that <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> . The credit for the soundtrack goes to David John (<a href='http://www.david-john.com/' target='_blank'>www.david-john.com</a>), who did an awesome work at the music. EDIT : It seems that is a new change for the GL, or it's speedh4x. Dunno. It's sorta misleading with the b5 patch's GL firing so slowly compared to the trailer.
