This is probably a stupid question, but I noticed when that Jetpacker took out that Fade outside Computer Core he recieved a "+1.0 Resources" notification.
I know this has long-since appeared for each time resource towers collected, but has this also always appeared for killing lifeforms? I can't remember it ever being in, but it doesn't seem extraneous, either.

on the subject of catpacks, they can be VERY helpful. not just for movement but consider a fade is blinking in and swiping at people and then blinking out. cant kill him before he blinks out. toss in some catpacks, hes gone. also helps to take out hit and run onos

Yay something to do during WOW maintenence <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Well I watched it a couple of times and I am not sure if I like it. Yes it was nicely done but..... I think it went too fast for someone that has never seen NS. I veiw a trailer as a comercial for someone who has never seen the game before. In some of the sences you couldn't tell what was happening unless you knew NS. I want to hear the opinions of people that never seen NS. Thats how you tell if its good.
I will show it to my friends and see what they say.
P.S. ok after I watched it a couple more times it looks better than I first thought. However most new people are only going to watch it once so I still like to know what they think.
Dunno if anyone remembers the old official trailer that came with the install os ns 30 beta 1. But im hosting it <a href='http://www.brywright.co.uk/downloads/files/index.php?dir=natural-selection/official/&file=ns_30b1_trailer_divx.zip' target='_blank'>here</a>. If anyone wants to see it.
The old trailer starts out really good but it doesn't go any where. Its easy to understand whats happening but it doesn't show you the game. I love the talking. I think some of that should have been added to the new trailer. I think it would be easier to follow. Plus it makes it more of a team game.
Beautiful! I've been meaning to get back in to NS again, just not had much time.
Think I can afford to make time now <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Anyone else remember the original trailer? Or getting so excited when small clips were released showing animations for the lerk and fade? I think I've still got them somewhere <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Awesome video, I was really impressed at how well they made the game look on the half-life engine. What's up with the relocation to Computer labs though? It almost makes it look like using tfs is a viable strategy in b5. /sarcasm

The trailer is great work. The shot following the lerk is particularly cool, as is the defocus of the final faceoff.
There are very few 'actors' in most scenes, though. In future trailers, it would be good to have scenes with lots of players, emphasizing the multi-player and cooperative nature of the game. For example, in the scene where the commander drops a lot of structures, there should be marines there building.
I loved the old trailer with the marines entering the airlock on Bast... it really captured the feel of NS. A new edit mixing the two trailers would be awesome.
