these can't be individual virii, can they? so tens of thousands of different h4x0r2 got their virii onto this one machine? how can that be? unless some kind soul made a nice zip file of every virus ever made and e-mailed it over =p
isn't it most likely just one or two virii that 'polinated' the whole HD?
Everyone single one is different, that I promise you. AVG does seperate them from being an infected file or being a causer of the infected file. Keep them coming boys.. everyones is recorded now, and remember, if you wish to change you have till its done tonight.
well I have trouble imagining tens of thousands of people getting their own individual, lovingly made viruses onto one computer unless the user, like a virus connoisseur, went to a virus sampling website and downloaded them en masse :> could it be that there's one virus that changes itself slightly every time it jumps to a new file?
anyway, as it sounds like pretty much every file on the computer is corrupted, I did a dir /s /w to see how many files are on MY computer, and as I have about 200k files, I'm gonna guess this person has about...
Infinite viruses. They will congregate together and form new and worse viruses faster than you can clean them. The final count will be reached though, merely because they have outsmarted the virus scanner.

Well an update from this morning, I let AVG run all of last night, from 9 pm till 8 this morning and it still isn't done.

So far in 9 hours it has scanned 149,820. I can't give you the current virii count, because I promised not to do so untill this scanner finished. So... most people have around 250,000 files in their system 32 folder...

I have just over 6000 files in my system32 folder, so I'm going to guess that the majority of those files were created by viruses, meaning that my previous guess is way too low. Oh well.
