EA will probably remove the need for a cd in a future patch.

Go spec ops and find a jeep/buggy

Drop your five C4 on it

And ram a tank- bail out at the LAST second

    watch the fireworks

It's REALLY fun to catch a black hawk mid air with it- got one that was hovering by a ramp... ZOOOM *WHAM* *BOOM ****!* Ahahah, 6 kills *smirks* That was fun! FOR ALLAH! <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
I do have to give props to some spec ops users...

I was driving an attack heli once, hovering near a cap point, and a spec ops parachuted near my chopper, dropped c4 on me while parachuting and detonated it...

and I do agree that squads need variety - I was mostly kidding. I play AT almost as much as medic. I think the mentality of squad leader playing medic is that the SL can hide behind a corner just being a spawn point, doing heals and revives to his squad as necessary, not facing much of the combat himself. in that scenario he shouldn't face getting killed anyway...

    Don't drag me into this!

Also: I think spec ops is a bit too much of a jack of all trades. Their gun, at least for US and MEC, is way better than any of the others. They have C4, they have nades, they have a silenced pistol. And let's face it, armor doesn't help when you get a bullet in the head so the longer sprint is another benefit for spec ops.

Maybe I am bitter at seeing half a team of spec ops, the other half medics (who at least can help out, even though I see far too many rush past wounded/dead teammates. Myself included.)

No they won't. BF:V and BF:1942 still need the CD to play.

    BF2 forces you to remove virtual drives, the same way doom3 did <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

When you're installing Alcohol 120%, just have it name the driver file something different from the default, and BF2 won't detect it. Then you can get a 1-2 MB miniISO instead of wasting 700 MB.

Or you can just get a no-cd crack, I'm sure there's one out there somewhere. If not, cd crack all your other games and just leave BF2 in there <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

You get class awards even if you're in a vehicle or whatnot, it's a good way to earn awards for classes you hate/don't play.

Punkbuster detects the No Cd thing and blocks you from playing the game that way.

Starforce. Never mind it as a copy protection, it's the most irritating, invasive POS software I have ever had the inconvenience of meeting.

    Sorry, venting.

I dunno dig up a Doom 3 thread and find out.

    Or Splinter Cell 3.

Or whatever you're talking about. But this is a BF2 thread.

    Yeah.

But to end it: The MP is the same as PT, just with updated/new maps, and the addition of a co-op storyline.

Back to BF2! I love it when you have two teams totally using teamwork. I remember spamming to my team "RETREAT BUT HOLD THEM AT YOUR FORMER POSITION!" 5 or 6 times, and suddenly, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them died. A 14 man team, all gone, like that. Just bam. Artillery ftw.

That reminds me: The yellow crosshair isn't very attractive. What would anyone reccomend for a crosshair color?
