No, incorrect, totally.
I have litterally 0 trouble with Snipe Campers, Air Bomb campers, boat campers.....or any campers at all. Also, BF2 doesn't reward kills very much: If it did, I'd be 3 ranks up by now(my kills so far is 100, not including the 20 I just got in a game). It truly rewards capping spots, and moving fast in a squad. My only problem really is taking down opposing squads is a ****, because you play guesswork on who is the squad leader.
Also, oddly enough, I've been first in a game once, 2nd once, and 3rd 4 times, and was never awarded any of the stars, despite the manual and strat guide stating I should.

jeez. people in this thread got something against users who might not have as much liquid cash trying to doctor their gf4's to play bf2. not everyone has the cash to spend on a 250 euro Geforce 6600GT.

Just out of curiosity, does the menu still have to load when you're trying to exit gameplay (pressing Esc in the middle of battle)? That's the loading time that everybody is whining about- NOT the connecting-to-server-deal. At least, that's the loading time that I was whining about.
Anyway, what CWAG said gives me hope. There's light... and a weekend ahead. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Play on the smaller servers they hardly lag at all, I had a few great games already.
I was playing as a special forces character for the USMC, and managed to get on top of one of the buildings near the enemy base. I set my M4 to semiauto, and started the plinkage. After killing about 10 guys or so, I must've ticked somebody off because the next thing I know an artillery stirke gets callled in just to smoke me.
But I ain't going out like that. It was <i>payback</i> time - and I had the checkbook.
I spawned in again, and in one holy-sh*t-how-did-he-do-that run, I blew up the enemy artillery, UAV trailer <i>and</i> radar station with my C4 and grenades. Good times. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I was in a tank on the Dalian Plant or something, chinese side. I started firing at a line of armor coming into the plant, all of a sudden, some IDIOT on our team (I was only taking up the right side of the road so other tanks could get by me.) drives a fully loaded APC into my backside (they were all clan members, -=[AH]=- or something.) So, I got knocked for five team kills AND they all punished me then left the server. Sigh, I was in spot for Gold too.

Basically, CD's can only store about 700-800 MB's of data on them. Maybe a little more with some clever formatting, not sure.
DVD's on the other hand can mange somewhere of up to 5 gigs?
Anyhow, basically, if you have the DVD you don't have to switch disks during installation, no other difference. Game may install a little faster too, mainly because DVD's tend to read faster then CD's.
