there's only 2 million muslims in the UK rob, most are prolly concentrated in london, bradford or birmingham.
I'm seriously wierded out by this. My girlfriend used to live round the corner from Russel Square I mean like a 30 second walk round the corner. And her route to work took her along Travistock Place which is right next to my girlfriends old house...
A bit shaken up by this as I know these areas very well. Apparently the bulding near my girlfriends house where the bus blew up is covered in blood.
If she was still living there and had either walked or taken the tube to work there is a good chance she would have been caught up in this...
That sucks. I'm watching it on FOX (Yes, fox, they have a pretty news ticker thingy.). I hope everyone's okay and my condolences to any and all people who have family members caught in this.
While I know we have had attacks from the IRA for years a) The mainland attacks were pretty tame. The most lethal bombings were all in northern Ireland and b) The IRA's aims had nothing to do with the mainland, so we didn't care. This is a direct attack on us for our involvement with Afganistan/Iraq. While I can still people being more angry and wanting revenge rather then cowing to their demands, I wouldn't write off a change in the public's opinion or govermental policy just yet.
