PC: Too Damn High >_<
When creating high-poly default models were all the rage, I had begun work on matching Hi-poly res towers and res nodes. My interest on them eventually waned and I stopped working on them. Now I feel like modelling again so I've made quite a bit of progress on the RT. However, I feel I've gone a bit overboard on adding details so I'm going to start reducing the poly's. This is how it looks like before I reduce the poly count:

The polycount on that is 1992. With the all additional details that are still missing from the model, I seriously need to cut down the PC. Ideally I want the final model to be below 2000. Realistically it's probably going to be ~2500.
Bonus: HP Armory teaser

If not then point it out to me.
excited to see how it comes out ^_^
I'm content with 1670 polys as more or less the lowest I'm willing to go without losing anymore details. Poly count may go down a negligible amount while more work is done but that would be it.
Any comments before I make with the UV mapping?
Sexy job man, now I just need high poly default models and the game will be sexy with defaults
But, its good detail. I say squeeze in all the detail you can, as high poly models are ment for high end machines

As a side note, I second that sentiment.

[EDIT]Heh. I thought he was saying you only see 2 polys at a time, not 2 restowers.[/EDIT]

You have a point there actually. With the original details on the legs, it "only" weighs in at ~2040 polys. That's less additional polys than one default sentry. Which one would you guys prefer? Higher PC or stick with the 1670 one?
Hope he uses it, once it's skinned to the correct style ofcourse
