yeah, I was gonna say... with the G8 on I suppose london presents a rather promising target now with it's lowered security. Well... untill this explosion went off that is. Now it'll be on high alert so hopefully that'll discourage any further attacks there.
I just hope they aren't trying to distract people so they can plan an attack up here, but I doubt they'd do that :p

Okay, CNN and Google News aren't responding, probably due to server load. <a href='http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Explosions%2C_'serious_incidents'_occuring_across_London' target='_blank'>Wikinews (run by same people as Wikipedia) is responding, though.
Wow. This is... wow. I can't believe I was there only a few weeks ago. Narrow miss.

Really bad timing too considering London was just selected to host the 2012 Summer Olympics too. Yea its far off but still bad timing.
bad timing? Maybe not; maybe this is exactly the timing they were aiming for :s Admittedly; for anyone other than terrorists a bomb going off is bad timing no matter what else is happening.
Seems like they blow up the bombs on the LU, waited for buses to get crowded (because the LU is down, and bus is the only other way apart from car), then blow up at least one. Advice is to stay where you are.
My brother in law fancied cycling to work today. I just hope he stays okay; he works at Oxford Circus.

but yea anytime is bad timing.
btw, i cant remember, was it NYC or London I cant remember, it happened about a year ago or so where police had been finding all these unattended bags and cases around subways.
People thought that terrorists planted them there to see how long the response time was for officals to find them and take note of the packages etc.
I'm OK. I live in South East London (ftl) but I'm in Montpellier for the moment, although I do use some of those stations, but rarely that early in the morning.
In a way this doesn't surprise me. IMO it was just a matter of time until London got terrorised, so in a way I'm surprised nothing like this has happened since the last IRA bombing. There have purportedly (yeah I read the Beeb's article) been many stopped, notably in the last few years but it looks like this time they (whoever it may be) have managed to pull it off.
P.S.
Me: Is mum there? Bro: yea, shes here Bro: havnt got thru to dad yet Me: ah
Good luck, man. I hope he's okay. He probably will be.
This hasn't surprised me - I took the tube every day for four years up until a couple months back (moved back with my parents for now). You know there's always a risk of this happening. But it's still shocking.
FOX News I noticed covered it 'nicely' to say the least when I flicked over for a second. "And what about the bodies? Talk about the bodies!" Nice people.
This isn't the first time this is happened, nor the last. The difference is perhaps the two significant events that are happening.
*London gets Olympics. *G8 Summit.
Makes me think about the Olympics mostly, cos what would happen if the terrorists decided to attack then? Would be chaos. just to point out the g8 is entirely at the other side of the country from london so it won't have anything to do with the G8 probably outside of the lower level of security down south caused by reinforcing bonny Scotland... Unless of course the terrorists think scotland is part of england and the G8 was even remotely near London which doesn't say much for their geography skills ¬.¬
