BTW, Planetes is indeed good, and I recommend KAA if you are looking for a fansub ^^. The last two letters in the title are not capitalized either, as far as I know. The show is not actually licensed in the USA though so you won't find it at your local store if you live here, at least last I checked. KAA is Kick***Anime (silly filter, fill in the blank ;p) and I won't link as I am not entirely sure if they classify as warez; A fair bit of the anime they have subbed is licensed. And there is that whole grey area involving fansubs so I just don't get into that =D. However you slice it, of the dvds I own any of their releases actually surpass them in quality I have found. Sad that something fansubbed is higher quality than the dvd releases, but you can do a lot with the processing power on a modern computer to clean up that dvd players cannot I suppose.
Wow that feels like it was rambling, anyways I am currently watching Kino no Tabi and it is rather interesting, as well was Welcome to the NHK. I am about halfway through each so I will see how they turn out soon enough.
Disclaimer: PlanetES is best viewed in 720p (PSNR). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />
I've been going through my "Plan to Watch" list lately and just finished going through <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=1195" target="_blank">Zero no Tsukaima</a> and enjoyed it quite a bit. The main thing I disliked is that I wanted more episodes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />.
For this season, I'm currently watching <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=2167" target="_blank">Clannad</a>, <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=2494" target="_blank">Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun</a>, and <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=2926" target="_blank">Myself; Yourself</a> while continuing to keep up with <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=2026" target="_blank">Hayate no Gotoku</a>. There seem to be a lot of romance series this season and all four of those shows have some kind of romance in them though some are more serious, some are more comedy, and some have a harem element to them.

I liked the first season but for some reason I couldn't get into the second season.
I enjoyed the second season but they made Louise get jealous easier and Saito distracted easier which did make parts a bit more annoying but it had a much better ending overall.
I saw the first episode of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clannad_%28visual_novel%29" target="_blank">Clannad</a>, it reminded me a lot of Kanon. Actually now that I think about it, it seems more of a copy of Kanon.
I've seen less than 50. I guess I have a lot of work to do. Today I randomly stumbled upon <a href="http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=980" target="_blank">Ground Defence Mao-chan</a> which I have found to be rather amusing. <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->It stars three eight-year-old girls, Mao, Misora and Sylvia, as they try to defend the earth against invading aliens. Consequently, three military leaders chose their granddaughters to be the defenders, fittingly, becoming a team even cuter than the aliens.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

My favourite shows so far: Death Note (just brilliant, loved it from beginning to end) Heroic Age (beautiful story and some really moving moments) Avatar (counts to anime imo, great humor) Code Geass (at first I want sure, but there is actually a serious story developing) Ergo Proxy (although the sory is really confusing)
I'm currently looking out for more anime with a simliar setting. Recommendations are welcome!

I started watching Clannad, it's almost exactly like Kanon 2006 but different storyline. I can be funny but sometimes I get annoyed by how cheesy or happy it is, it needs more violence xD.
Since apparently <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1118" target="_blank">Necro</a> is to shy to post he wanted me to mention Minami-ke. It's probably one of the most amusing shows this season. Watch it or Chiaki will beat you up. <img src="http://mirror.kungfudiscomonkey.net/images/chiakikana.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I only saw one picture on animnewsnetwork about Clannad and the girls look alot like the girls in Kannon 2006. The drawing technic of them is the same. Is it done by the same team and so lookalike ?
Oh and I have just seen that Kannon 2006 <a href="http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=10391" target="_blank">DVD </a>1 is coming out in January (Ep1-4). Also noticed the are offering a free full preview of Ep1-English for the hollidays (aparently for Americans only). Kind of funny to hear them talking in English as when I watched it, it was in Japanese subtitled English.
Holy Mother of God, Macross Frontier sub is out, what a nice Chirstmas.
<a href="http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2007/12/25/macross-frontier-01/" target="_blank">http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2007/12/25...ss-frontier-01/</a> <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->You’ll have to pardon my language, but holy ###### that was amazing. The music (by Yoko Kanno), the animation, the battles - everything was so incredible, and I can’t begin to fathom how much money was spent on this. It was movie-level quality. The first half did a good job introducing the story and characters (even for someone like me who’s not intimately familiar with the franchise, this was very easy to get into), but it was the entire second half that had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t think a single episode has hooked me as quickly as this did in a long while - at least not since RXJ anyway. And from the look of the preview, there doesn’t seem to be a distinct drop of quality for the second episode either. I’d say Macross Frontier has easily shot up to the top of my list of most anticipated shows for the Spring 2008 - maybe even more than GEASS.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Saw Kanon 2006 a couple of days ago. It was quite a funny show to be honest. Humor mixed with the more mushy stuff was pretty nicely made. The Makoto arc was IMO the best - specially the porn magazine bit in episode 5...that had me laughing for 10 minutes straight.
Gonna take a peek at Clannad after I'm done watching Rozen Maiden...
Is Claymore about claymore swords, or claymore mines?
Because I want a show about claymore mines.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Swords.
/me thinks for a few 20 mins of watching the mine? and then2 seconds of watching some one walk in front of it?
TBH, a show about Claymore mines would be kinda boring <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
It would be about this kid who's part of a guerrilla warfare army and a tactical genius when it comes to strategically setting mines in places for maximum effect. And his spunky kawaii girl sidekick. He'd spend the show scouting out the enemy's numbers, analyzing the layout of his ambush point, and setting claymore mines in the best spots. At some point there would be wacky hijinks. Then the last 5 minutes of the show, KABOOM!

And just like all other anime series about the feisty kid who is 'the best' at something (Hajime no Ippo, Pokemon, Prince of Tennis, every anime ever), he's eventually going to square off against he big caucasian-looking guy who is evil and better at using claymore mines. Rite?
