My apologies MrSureDeath, but I don't like it. It suffers from a lot of "Wouldn't it be cool if?" and I've said it before and I'll say it again, humanoid space ships make no sense.

I don't mind a lack of realism, but their movement just doesn't look right, ever. It's so far beyond the level of plausibility that I simply can't shake that feeling.
Also, what was with the 2 girls that somehow had stage performances critical to the battle?

Just finished Hajime no ippo, pretty inspiring. Some moves are actually plausible to recreate, like the Dempsey roll. Not that I ever will get someone to stand perfectly still while I swing back and forth with my body and arms, still, it feels mighty.
Edit: Oh, im also getting all them frontier episodes, not heard of it since the mouthwatering first one.
If you like Fighty Anime with depictions of real moves you might like 'The worlds strongest disciple kenichi'. Friend of mine forced me to watch it and it was actually rather fun :3

Kenichi, now he's fighting in the god damn underground martial art team tournament with fighters from around the world. Nope, not cliche at all, other manga like Yu Yu Hakusho, Negima Sensei, or Flame of Rekka never did this before. Nope.

Thx for the Anime Source link. I was getting a bit tired of searching for anim infos on Crunchyroll. I hate their search. There does not seam to be a way to exclude all of what they dropped due to license or other issues.
suredeath, you do realise you're sorta saying something along the lines of "oh how original... a story about soldiers has a war in it!". What do you expect a story about a rising martial artist to do? There's only so many times you can have friends kidnapped by opponents wanting to test your mettle or the like :p
Let's face it... serious martial artists either spend their time training or they go off to find opponents to spar against... that's part of what tournaments are about :3
Hey, I guess they could've done something different though... in an epic quest to be totally different just because, Kenichi could've suddenly started a life-changing journey to discover how the powers of martial arts could be harnessed for the good of gardening! Through adversity he learns masterful maneuvers like the 'hoe chop' or the 'compost toss' :D

die fillers die.
Actually, die serialized storylines die.
People need to stop making random excuses for stronger and stronger opponents. Just stop the storyline already! Even worse, they make random excuses for why the characters are suddenly nerfed!
2 days ago, I started watching Demonbane. I usually do not watch Mecha anims because I hate them (except Gease wich had something else in it besides mecha which made it worth watching). But not knowing what was that anim, I started watching it. When I saw it had mecha I started to hesitate but because of alot of historical infos it is pouring in it, I am still watching it.
I was surprised at first seeing at the end of the episodes all the explained infos they used in it. I had heard some of them and others I did not know about, but was glad I learned about them. Now I almost get the itch to start reading HP Lovecraft.
I guess you could say the main reason I am watching this anim is because of the infos they have put in it and explaining at the end.
I am currently at episode #4. Do they always explain infos at the end of each episodes ?
Lol overall, Demonbane was a bit boring but the ending facts were interesting.
Currently watching :
- Linebarrels of Iron : at first the pseudo "hero of justice" was getting on my nerve. Overall is so so . Hummm, boo....
- Last Exile : I like it
- Natsume Yujincho : I like it. Not alot of action, relaxing kind of anim (even the music) but still good.
- Naruto Shippuden : watching it out of curiosity. Initially it was to see if it still has the same problem as the other one where there were loonnnngggggg times of nothing or spending too much times on things that would last only 20 sec (ex: the meeting the enemy on a bridge and just staying there 20 min looking at Naruto Nine Fox tail cloacking) or spending too much time on battles (5 episodes for one single battle to end <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />). Good thing there are humour times, otherwise I would drop this. Although I am tempted to drop it every times I get those looonnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg periods.
- To Aru Majutsu no Index : interesting, different twist

In my opinion, the best anime show right now is InuYasha even though the new episodes aren't coming out till like 2010. I've been keeping up to date on my research for the anime.I have all 4 moives on DVD. The othe best anime was Fushigi Yuugi..I just finished the series and the Ova's. I loved them both. I wish that Rurouni Kenshin was still on tv as well but thats why I keep up with episodes and dvd's posted online. I can't wait for InuYasha to come out with newer episodes, there gonna be good ^_^.

You guys suck @ keeping threads alive, you have no idea what kind of dangerous demons I had to summon to resurrect this evil thread! but I just started watching an anime, looking for a zombie genre to come across something called Highschool of the Dead...
Sounds pretty cool right? Well guess what, this thing is weird... pantsu in a zombie genre, yes indeed. I find it annoying, but not as annoying as the stupid noisy decisions they make... Oh well
Enjoy, remember there is a lot of pantsu crap in this one. But at least also a lot of zombie related goodness.... whoever thought up this crazy mix should be kicked in the ######
