Yeah seriously, if you're getting that kind of performance you must be doing something wrong, because player doesn't...

Here's a deal for you. I'll send you your 40 bucks via Paypal, you don't have to ask for a refund, you even get to keep your copy of NS2, and for this all I ask you to do is STFU on the forums until final release. Deal?

I always wondered if that was a bug. I thought maybe it was my mouse messing up, but glad to know it's something in the game that can be fixed. Annoying as hell to not be able to aim when you need to, but if I unzoomed and re-zoomed it seemed to fix it.

Basically it stops the game from rendering things you cant see. For example the game might render a barrel around a corner that isn't in your view. In short it's a way to make the game run a bit smoother by not rendering unnecessary polygons.
sounds awesome but doesnt that mean the game has to load things faster as soon as you see them? So if I go into a room with complex items my computer could stutter more than it would before??

turn on wire frame in the console r_wireframe and you can see what it is doing..

It means there was either a problem with the map, or it's being included in B178. If you look at the teaser trailer NS2HD released Sunday (sunday to me), there is an "unknown" mimi-map around the 20 second mark. It might be mineshaft; however, it makes the map look really small and UWE has said on many occasions that Mineshaft is bigger than Tram. We'll see soon enough.

I think that's going to be next, after the Occlusion culling goes in. But repairing power-nodes no longer drops your fps.

Its a very effective way of keep draw calls down.

What could this mean!?
It's the minimap of Summit.
Nice! :)
