I also always laugh at the "manifisto" and I hope there is a monk skill of the same name.

I merely wanted to point out that this very "manifisto" talks about how the traditional player roles, like the monk, are no more in GW2, and thus his wish would be hard to fulfill.
Though I expect the kind of Monk he was thinking of was the martial arts kind rather than the GW1 holy healer guy. I mean, neither is in, but... I guess I thought I'd mention it?

But in all seriousness, file "with all due respect" under "phrases to avoid." Or under "euphemisms for 'go ###### yourself.'" Depending on how great your need is for euphemisms for 'go ###### yourself.'
Huh... same dealio as Tera: buy the game and get into the betas. Sure, why not? :3
I'm still torn what to play though. I haven't the foggiest class wise but races it's probably a 3 way tie between the safe but boring Humans, the planty Silvari (I like plant peoples :3 ) and the Asura (I made a cute one with pink pigtails during a gaming expo :D )
You mean the Asura? XD They're basically just filling the role usually reserved for Gnomes :P
I think class-wise I'm probably going to end up as Mesmer, rogue, hunter or engineer. I never go warrior in any game and the vanguard... well I just don't play armoured classes.
well, folks who aren't align, the pre-buy hits tomorrow. After that we can all jump into all the beta phases that come until glorious retail finally arrives! :D Are you ready? I am!
I actually wanted to use a "I keep throwing money at the screen but nothing happens" meme pic but I couldn't find one :P
As for when the next beta is, I don't believe they've said. They've been keeping pretty tight lipped on when any of their betas are, but the FAQ does mention late April so I suspect we'll find out more, if not tomorrow, then as the month progresses :3
There have been no official word on when the beta events will happen, but rumours point to one per month, starting with the first one on April 20th. These are just rumours though.
I have heard those rumours as well, but for all I know they're just circulating within a small group of people. Pencil that weekend in, but don't put too much stock in it.
Pre-ordered as I thought I read somewhere you could register your nickname, only to find out it uses a Starcraft 2-style name generator where it adds 4 random numbers after your name;

Your Guild Wars 2 User ID is: sherpa.8462
This is a unique account identifier, consisting of a name and a randomly generated four-digit code. You'll use it during the Guild Wars 2 Beta Event, on the Beta Forums, and in Guild Wars 2 after launch. The name and four-digit code will be your handle on the Beta Forums. The four-digit code does not appear in the game itself unless another player chooses the same name, in which case both your name and the four-digit code will appear.

Man, €150 for the collector's edition? I'd rather not have the one-time-use junk items and statue, but be able to buy the making of and whatnot for less than that. Maybe I'll pick them up separately a while after launch, the regular version currently seems by far the most interesting, as the deluxe one adds useless ingame items.
About a year after I started calling myself lolfighter, the only google returns that were <i>not</i> me were from some french forum that apparently referred to the game King of Fighters as 'lolfighter.' For this reason, I feel at least somewhat justified in considering myself the "original" lolfighter. These days, I consider myself lucky if I am the first to pick the name when I sign up for something. I'm going to assume that this is because my fame, my enthralling personality, and my ruggedly handsome good looks inspire envy and a desire to copy me, instead of any more likely explanation. But what this boils down to is that I am happy that I get to be lolfighter, as should be my right. Would I prefer to be the only lolfighter, singular in my magnificence? Yes. Do I prefer the current state of affairs to NOT being able to use my name because some ######bag took it? Also yes.
Why would you boast that you have games inferior to Tera to play while waiting for GW2, LF? ;D
I plan on finding out what server you're on, Making an adorable Asura and following your character around until you either learn to love the snarky lil' race or commit hari-kari with your mouse-cord: not fussed which, it's a win-win situation :3

The price range is ridiculous.
