While I do agree that pub stomps are no fun, there's no reason to blame the game for it. It's a bit like griefing in minecraft - other, more experienced players decide to ruin your fun with their godly skills.

I do agree with Cory that too much music would interfere with the gameplay. However, "too much music" would not be the case. Music is played when the hive is being killed, music is played in bar, and music is played at the start of a round. It works…
