Simply, they should just wander around everywhere and chop those large drillable chunks. This will make those resources viable also before the player gets exo drill.

Best thing is UWE or a team hired by UWE remaster Subnautica in 2018/19 and add multiplayer. I'm sure Subnautica will (has already, as well) bring tons of money for the dev team on release.

In PDAs it is indicated about Leviathan, a civilized Leviathan trying to save its baby. Could this be then Emperor Leviathan species? Maybe some Juvenile emperors?

I think mountain biome isn't that well known by players because it is around the north edge of the map and also because most people stop going furthur than mountain island.
