There is always a difference in balance at tiers. Its a result of a higher skill ceiling for ranged fps (aim skills) play then melee (movement skills).

I would suggest everyone take a break from playing in pubs if you know whats going on for the weekend, having so many greens is really annoying and its no fun for the nubs to be crushed by you either.

Its clear just the pure volume of repeated posts on this issue that there is a problem for the average player with shotguns. Regardless of whether its balanced for comp play, which I would say it probably is, its damaging the games player base.

I think a good rule of thumb for the stronger players which I follow is if you are the sole determining factor in which team wins 2 games in a row, you should move to another server or start commanding.

I know for a fact that you can aim right where marines pop out of a phase gate and still hit it but you will be doing glancing dmg unless you aim at the structure itself. I believe it applies to other structures but not sure.

1080p stream uses alot of bandwidth, as much as 1-2gigs/hour.
