Every class to be able to counter every other class?
The scout counter to Demo men is to just not get near their stickies.
For far too many classes the only viable "counter" is to not go near.
Can't tell whether it's a balance issue, but in various circumstances, the only alternative to risking immediate explosive death is to go another route.
As much as I'd like to, I can't find any glaring balance issues. Soldiers seem very powerful and make for a good mainstay fighting class, but that almost lies in their name anyway. Yes, I hate crit rockets just as much as anyone else, going from full to zero hitpoints in a single shot has never sat well with me, but they're not a massively unbalancing factor. In the end, win or lose, it never feels like "oh that's just because they/we were whoring class X." The only real complaint I have is about the far too frequent sudden deaths. And my frame rate. -_-

No it just sucks that as a Pyro (woo!) I can get locked in the sewers of 2fort and have nades banked around the corner while I can't do sh*t (Or anyone else). Switching class would be pointless at that point.
All weapons can move stickys, except flamethrower (unless I've forgotten something), shotguns work good enough for a few, it's just a matter of getting close enough. Which is about just a cm away from the explosion damage, but still, it works.
And guys, if there are stickys somewhere important and none can or wants to remove them, it's your duty to run into em and clear the way for the others behind. Giving the defenders breathing room because of cowardice is the greatest mistake, if they get everyone spawned and on the front then you are back to when the doors just opened (obviously concerning mostly DB and gravelpit). If you are alone, do as Lolfighter said, take another route, otherwise you must run on them stickys!

it's not very often I get completely trapped by demomen, but when it happens, svenpa is right. sometimes you just have to take the medicine. I must say I hate compensating for the cowardace of my team, and having no one willing to lead an assault because of a sticky trap or turret farm or other defenses. I can't tell you how many games I've won just because I, as a medic, ubered someone and charged out first myself before anyone would progress an inch into enemy territory. then of course I end up dying for my bravery and the second I'm dead, my team finishes the cap and we win =p

Some times it is just to let people know what is ahead (turret on the left!), some times it is to goad the rest of my team to follow, and one thing I find really good is to draw fire from the turrets. If the turret is firing at me, the Demo/pyro/soldier/hwg/whatever can focus on the turret without getting tossed around.
And yah. Demos do one thing: Area Denial. They are REALLY good at it, but that is about all they are good at. If a scout gets past their stickies they are doomed (remember, wait for him to fire all 4 pipes then just bat him down).
Yah, a demo CAN take out an entire team if they are on the CP, but that team deserves to die. All a Demo SHOULD be able to kill is one person tops.
My favorite situations are ones like granary 2nd CP where you can easily be on the CP with out drawing SG fire or (generally) being in range of the Stickies.

It's great. I am pleased. However, if anyone with the drawing skillz feels like making a drawing, DO go ahead! PLEASE! Don't worry about background, don't worry about other characters or any of that. Just a heavy with a broom and a content hum, sweeping stickies.

TF2 is amazing. Of course, I still have yet to play TFC..
If anyone wants to play friend me as "Metal Man" on Steam.
My favorite servers to play on are the www.JigglysFunHouse.net servers. They have great ping for East Coasters like myself, and run HXLStats to keep up some friendly competition. If you havn't played custom maps like Warpath (great) and Rats, add me on Steam and we'll have a blast.
Check out that community as well, it's filled with friendly players and admins who are fun to sit back and cap a few points with <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
