I'm actually hoping they don't patch until next Friday since I'm moving this weekend. I'd certainly welcome a patch today, but I doubt it will happen. I hope we get something though (reveal, mini blog update, etc.).
Watching those progress bars change colors is still pretty exciting.
Imagine if the hive tentacles would lash out and hit the flamethrower guy. That would mean the marines couldn't simply camp there with 3 flamethrowers.

The damage was already done with the last patches and I prefer a little more waiting over another blow at the motivation, activity and enthusiasm of the community.
psyko i understand what you think but, i think 2 month is very long ^^
also with just 1 week we have a 500mb patch so with 2 month a 2gb patch?
they could patch for add the feature developped and avoid huge patch.
even if this is not playable online, it avoids those having a little connection to make a patch that will take them three days to dl :s
and even then just a patch with addition of gameplay, or other small stuff will spend the time ! and you can launch a game in solo for testing what they have add :p
Finally, this is only my opinion and i will wait for the patch like everyone here :p

That's easy. Just play bad company 2. Kill some brazillians (their's at least a brazillian of them to go around), drink some beers, and the world will turn. xD

1. go to the downloadable games menu and go to indie games 2. download I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1 (it's like 80 credits) 3. play this game for 15 minutes 4. sing the theme song for the rest of the day

I am assuming this is a bug after you tweaked the current gorge spit. The only problem i seen other than a bad aim, slow moving, and bouncing back at you was that when you put your snout to the wall you could shoot players on other side.
NOTE: UWE is doing a great job, they released an alpha that doesn't crash on execution. I don't think i have even seen an alpha do that before.
The wait is well worth it if you think about the massive content in the end, game , world editor, cinimatic editor, lua + Decoda and the ever so huge deal "THE ENGINE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm sure i missed some content there)

No it looks like 5-8 weeks, perhaps a month or two. Maybe they think their's still not enough content to keep people occupied for longer then 10 minutes, so they keep on pushing it back until all lifeforms and equipment are in and everything is balanced, i.e. the "spreadsheet" business.
It would seem the "Alpha" will be exclusive to private builds, and "Beta" is the next stop?
Also this is a weird entry: "Check out sentries and shotguns from HDNS2 video".

i would still be playing the current patch if the lag issues were fixed.
the lag was really what was holding the patch up. until we see something that says its fixed, we're not gonna get a patch and the gameplay team will keep cranking out content, it's all they can do right now.
have faith in Max, he's a decent developer :-P having worked with Hammer, Animation Master, Sculptor, Maya, and a little 3d studio maxx, I gotta say that the spark editor is a pretty damn good work of coding.

But given the odds, yes, I think you do win the internets. And an internet to go with them.

Gone = done? (I doubt it. Done = "Completed/Accepted" surely?)
