Hey, I just pre-ordered the game and I'm curious on the moral of the developers, I first heard about this game for what seemed like ages ago and I couldn't wait until its release. Now I paid for it in hopes of supporting the developing process. Keep up the good work guys, I wish I could help more!

Err... Sorry. Haha, I imagine they are just looking at the behaviour the sentry guns exhibited when paired. Compared to a single gun, they didn't seem to do twice the damage to an oncoming skulk. Bloody good looking guns though!
The irony for me is that when reviewing the video yesterday, I realised I had misspelt 'Sentry' in the title. I hope the developers do not draw the conclusion that I am unable to spell.

Hmm that's interesting. I wonder if the same happens if multiple marines are shooting at the same onos, but only the hits from one marine are registered at any point in time.
I imagine that some progress was made on this issue, but they don't want people thinking that they consider the issue done with when it still is not optimized to final quality.

They have stated multiple times that they will not release a new patch without fixing the major lag issues. There were multiple issues contributing to network performance that have already been completed (reducing server bandwidth, adding compression to packets, fixing player warping, and who knows what else). Max has pretty much been working on it straight since the last patch. We don't know how much it's been improved, but judging by the progress page I feel like by Friday next week we should have a new patch.

@juice & Stele007 ofc, that actually makes alot of sense. hope UWE is successfull!
but still, does anyone know if rendering performance has been improved? cos a slideshow with working hit detection is still a slideshow and unplayable.
Hey, now... I previously said 10/08 if not 10/15. I could still be right... I hope... :<

No idea... Honestly, I thought the framerate was okay with my machine. Are you sure you aren't thinking of the network/server issues? Once too many people joined, it did become a slide show because the server was grinding to a halt, but my client's fps wasn't terrible.

no patch in 2 months= no significant rendering improvements, that's all.

Bug: "Eggs shouldn't spawn on railings and small things" I'm kind of confused. Were they not spawning correctly on these things so you made it so they can't. Or did you make it so they could? o.O

I'm guessing they're not allowed to spawn there. It probably would have been worded "Eggs couldn't spawn.." if they were intended to.

This actually makes sense... and also made me laugh because I'm simple.

Mmmm well, a very fast belly slide could have a similar effect i suppose :D

Which means I'm all out of NS2 promotion work for a long while yet.
a discounted gorge plushie would turn that frown upside down.

Good stuff! :)
What exactly is pathetic? A patch is taking longer than expected - oh tragedy.
Short message is I'm really looking forward to a patch when there is one but I'm content to wait and check in until there is.
