    How does it feel like to be in a hotgroup/squad ? do you know who your squadmates are? if so, how?

    Can an onos still kill marines in 2 gores?
    Skulks now have 20 armor to start, do they get 30 armor at level 3?
    I heard a 'walking' skulk will remain cloaked with the cloak upgrade, is this true?

    that really makes me sad, i thoght missle comand would make a good enouigh map to include in an officila build of NS if polished up a little

    well maybe with a little polishing it could still work

    Considering the new jetpack I've heard discussion about, that map would be impossible.

    If vet's were having slight problems with even the takeoff, how do you think anyone could fly that high when the jetpack flytime has been reduced a lot ?

    If that map would be included, only way for marines to win would be to build a huge tower of sieges so that it would reach the top.

    So I believe it won't be included with the new jetpack technology?

    I'm no pt, but that map would never be made official part of NS. Missle Command was and always will be a fun map; it by no means conforms to the guidelines laid down by the devs for map design. Including it in any release of ns would encourage the sort of gameplay that many servers don't want. It's up to the servers themselves if they want to encourage fun maps. I like them, but I much prefer the more classic maps.

    Has any one used/though about the marine's coms ie typing and voice com.

    it would realy suck for a lone onos with silence and cloak hiding near the marine base chomping from the back of a welding train to the front to be ratted out by the first person he ate.     i dont think that it would suck to have a marine being digested to tell his team mates. they can communicate normally with radios. the onos is not a metal box so the radio would still work. besides, it would be funny

    .. and considering that you can't stack buildings anymore (awg! no more DC stacks in the vents!), that will be pretty hard to do ...

    Also, I expect siege etc will be different as well ... as all aliens will go gorge and go sit suckling on a resnode and splat down new res/chambers. Fast expansion isn't limited to marines anymore.

    I remember reading that marine structure stacking was removed but not aliens. Although this might have changed since I last read it.     Really? There are servers where skulks can't (they just fall straight off the first rung) I always assumed it was a low-ping-physics issue or some such other netcode thing relating to wall-walking.

    Why weren't they supposed to be able to? They can manage sheer smooth faces, why the problem with ladders?
    Getting out of Vent hive (caged) towards sewer is a pain when you can't climb that ladder, though you can climb the side of it carefully. Surely that wasn't supposed to be only an exit for marines or non-skulks? they'd have to fall a fair way at the other end...

    sure it would be out sooner unfortunately for us they have more important things to do like jobs and such.

    Yes, you can blink without full energy. The current blink isn't "teleporting"; thank goodness you don't get stuck in walls any more. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Blink is now more of an hyper-accelerated, cloaked run that functions by holding fire/mouse1 button (like any other ability/weapon). Comes on handy for stealth missions <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.

    Onos can still kill marines in two gores. Onos are devastating if used right (stomping right around a corner as marines approach; Ono's as a rambo can be a target for large groups of marines (at one hive atleast, especially without carapace; celerity with a one hive Ono's really helps IMO).

    Skulks have 40 armor at level 3 Carapace.

    Moving/walking aliens of any evolution are cloaked, but only within a certain radius of a Sensory Chamber; move outside that radius and you immediately uncloak. You even remain cloaked while attacking So long as you are in the radius of the SC.

    You can still stack chambers as an alien. structures are taller now though so gorges either have to be standing on the structure they are building on OR they have to stack chambers at the top of their jump; stacking is just a little tougher.

    I'm not sure if marines can pull it off any more though...worth a test.

    You aren't supposed to be able to stack marine structures, but I've seen it done.
