Nazul: I mapped for NS a while ago... made a map entitled "Widow." Personally, I hated it and trashed it, but everyone told me it was good... meh. At any rate, I am investing my mapping skills in the UT2k3 engine right now, but I'm thinking about doing some more NS work.

Well... It got far, but then I moved it all to one of my older HDDs and smashed it to bits with an axe. Literally. However, as great as that may seem, I found the copies I moved to that HDD on another partition a month or two ago... that map won't just leave me alone! Grm! It sucked, anyway. I think I have some screens of it around here...

These are unfinished shots from my first map ever... which has nearly constant r_speeds between 500-700... so it will probably never be accepted... but whatever...

Thats looking really good so far. You are probably going to want to make an overlay though for the monitors in the third pic. They look a bit wierd at the moment.
Its just a separate texture that you use for texture lighting so that the rim of the light isn't fullbright. i.e. The computer screens should be fullbright, but the plastic around them shouldn't.
Just wanted to say that the quality of mapping is really good around here. These screens are fantastic. Kudos mappers! you define NS at it's core level! keep on creatin' those brushes <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
