List some of your favorite movie villans, and why.

I'ma have to say, in no particular order (These are just some I can think of now):

<img src='http://www.ugavine.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/vader.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

1) Darth Vader. C'mon, how can you NOT love him.

<img src='http://visualeffects.net/effectsguide/cinefex/movie%20magic/predator.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

2) The Predator. The perfect killer, one of the best costumes I've ever seen, and he's just so awesome. When he's not blowing up minigun-wielding governors, combined with his neato cloak and IR vision...

(This also counts the less-then-great Predator 2, but the Predator combat scenes in P2 were just way too awesome to not love).

<img src='http://www.ibot.cas.cz/personal/pysek/images/alien.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

3) The Alien. For many the same reasons as loving the Predator, including the fact that this movie gave me nightmares. (Maybe I have something for watching hapless humans get slaughtered by critters from another planet?)

<img src='http://www.quintessentialwebsites.com/lordoftherings/movieshots_ttt/banner_ttt_saruman_tn.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

4) Saruman. Talk about projecting power without actually showing it. Goosebumps.

    Vader has to go down as the ultimate villain of all time.

    Second to that, in my eyes, would be Alan Rickman in every villainous role he's ever played (Being most of his roles).

    For ickiness, Dennis Hopper's Frank in Blue Velvet wins hands-down, and for awesomeness, Tim Curry's Devil in Legend is the best.

    Vader is number one, of course.

    Agent smith in the original matrix. I just like the way he says "Mr Anderson"

    1) Darth Vader. The coolest villian, because he redeems himself

    2) Agent Smith. He's...very evil.

    3) Any villian that William Dafoe plays. It's William Freakin Dafoe

    4) Any villian that Steve Buscemi plays. He's so sleazy and creepy and...ewwwww

    5) Any villian that Dustin Hoffman plays. He's sleazy when he wants to be.

    Gary Oldman as Norman Stansfield in "Leon/The Professional" excellant portrayal of a borderline psychotic character in a present day setting. He was also good in "Fifth Element"
    Jurgen Prochnow as Sutter Cane in "In The Mouth Of Madness"
    Everybody in "Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels" and "****" ..technically they're all villians in those movies yeah? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Was voted the top villan of all time (Darth Vader was number 2 or something) by some movie board. Seriously, this guy is like the ultimate evil.

    I like some of the suggestions but why isn't clarence boddiger in there? He might just be the muscle for the main villian in robocop but he's got lots of classy lines and just generally rocks as far as villians go =D

    "Can you fly bobby?"

    Don't know the actor's name though... he's in 'that 70s show' as the father though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger. Don't know if you guys ever saw the TV series called 'freddie's nightmares' but basically 'uncle freddy' would sit and tell you gruesome tales... lots like tales from the crypt actually <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Agent Smith : Only in the first movie though, he seems more fluffy and weak in the other 2 (that guy does a decent job of Elrond too).

    Predator : (despite the movies preview calls Arnold the Predator...but that's beside the point)...he's just a cool antagonist...despite the fact he's not really that evil.

    The Emperor : ...because Darth Vader is cool, but he's not really that evil compared to the emperor...Vader still owns the Emperor though.

    The Emperor (Commodus) : Because Joaquin Phoenix owns you...if you're trying to be a roman emperor. If you haven't seen Gladiator I demand you watch it now. Preferablly on DVD so you get the deleted scenes and the montage that make him more crazy/evil.

    Sauron : Because he's a big fiery eye....a big EVIL fiery eye, plus he looks cool with a body too.

    All I can think of right now...

    The guy who played Satan in End of Days. He fit the role well. I don't know why, he just did.

    Smith was just plain badass in the first Matrix, then he apparently started smoking some virtual crack and went all nutty.

    Darth Vadar was pretty cool because he <i>wasn't</i> your stereotypical evil baddie. Example: when they board that corvette right at the start of the first (... well, "fourth", I guess) movie looking for Princess Leia, when they don't find her and tell Vadar something about an escape pod heading down to the planet, instead of getting all "You FOOL! How could you let them escape?! AAAARGH! KILL!", he simply tells them what to do. You know, not randomly wasting human resources purely because he's annoyed.

    But my vote for Most Evil goes to Gendo Ikari. Anyone who knows who he is knows why he's so evil, so that's all the explanation you're getting <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
