From what i've understand about your "remake", you have "decompiled" succesfully the brush/textures and the entities but you dont have the lights.rad and the compile's settings. If i can help for the rad's settings, i think that Relic25 didn't use the "-gamma" option in the rad (you're using it no?), maybe only the "-dscale" (with a value of 4/6?) and some -bounce (2/3?). Well that's what i think.. but maybe i'm completely crazy Keep up the good work guys!

Mendasp! I love the remake of the RR. 2 things you must re add or "i'll kill you"
The Steam valves that burst every 2 mins or whatever it was.
The Sounds! They were the sounds from the nostromo in Alien, when Ripley shut off the cooling and the ship was going to explode. The warning claxons and alarms! They were some of the best sounds in that map and they were in the Ready Room! Please tell me they are going to be in.
That's still there. In fact the steam bursts appear between 20 and 80 seconds.
I love you Drunken.Monkey. (/me loves ayumi) Engine looks great. The lighting.. its just a whole lot better.
Oh, and make sure you raise the roof in the little green corridor that leads from the chamber with the water in it up to main aft. Oni have to crouch all the way to get through it.

Yeah I agree with yoda. Not that were putting any pressure on you... And don't forget that all of these guys might not be seeing the exact same thing we are seeing on our screens. we must consider: A. they arent done yet B. Different monitors make the levels look different AND things look different in the game vs screen shots. We arnt being hard just letting you know about what we think.
P.S. Keep up the good work! You guys are doing great.
Please, stop complaining, it's not finished... we've said it THOUSANDS of times. When we get the whole map redone, we'll send it to the Playtester group (and some individuals) to get some feedback, if they feel that the lighting makes the map feel "cartoony" (which I don't think so) then we'll do anything about it, if noone says anything, then, sorry mate, you'll have to live with contrasted lighting, even though the original map used it (look atmospheric processing, did that look cartooney? because it has VERY contrasted lighting).
PS: I've seen thousands of maps with contrasted lighting, and it's the first time I read something about the lighting being cartoon-like. gg!
Oh, I forgot, take a look at the MS pics again (3rd page), because I don't think that it looks so different from the original MS. Are you trying to say that the original one looked cartoony?

Yes, I know, your post was totally correct and I have no problems with it, I was refering to other replies on this thread. Yes, we are using -gamma, which is why our lighting looks so contrasted. I thought I answered you a while back, or maybe I didn't, heh.

P.S and for all u little whiners who keep whining about how it dosent look right, how about u just create your own reamake team and se eif u can do better. Making a map is not the easiest thing in the world and it takes time, i mean thease guys dont get paid or anything they just do it because bast was a great map and like alot of us they would be sorry to see it gone forever!
Thank you so much for working on this. The first time I played Bast, I was stunned by the beauty and atmosphere. I wasn't until I had played a lot that I realized that it had a lot of gameplay issues. I was hoping for a new version, but that wasn't possible without a remake. Now it's possible again, and I'm looking forward to it. Good luck, and thanks again.
/me wubs j00 guys, i couldn't stand bast not being in 3.0, but at the soeed you guys are going, i wont have to, very good job, and keep up the goot work

I'll be working on all the way from the MS to Atmos processing. btw, I changed the ladder on the bottom of the MS so the bullets go through it (it was kinda frustrating trying to shoot aliens and hitting "nothing").
Oh, I almost forgot! The sounds and particle systems are still there, so don't worry

Although suggestions are great I think ATM they're just trying to get the old version of the map put together. Trying to restore it AND rebalance it would just be too much work and confusion.
