<div class="IPBDescription">Just got into it, some strong feelings.</div> Some of you guys are just....elitists. A lot of you people think you're too good for us little pubbers, and are complete **** to everybody. It really bothers me how you guys are so good, yet some of the most frustrating **** I've ever played a game with. Now, I recently got into CAL-NS (Very recent, infact.) I haven't even played a match yet, but I'm up for the next match of our clan (From the Ashes). I'm excited, and its a lot of fun. For my first non public game, we scrimmed SuX. It was so much fun. Finally, I spent the game trying to reach an objective instead of herding my team into thinking that the objective was important enough to try for. SuX is a great bunch of guys, I know most of them well, and FTA is the most fun group of people I've played with (That is why I accepted their invitation, even though I was strongly Anti-CAL)
I realised it wasn't CAL I should be **** with, it was Elitists.
I. Hate. Elitists. To name some names <span style='color:red'>[Grendel Edit] No, Let's Not. Never do it again, in fact please. [/Edit]</span>. That guy needs some attitude adjusting medications (Maybe some morphine? Whatever to get him off of his high horse, and calm down.)
I ask simple questions of curiousity, and he rains down on me with all of this attitude. For example:
There is that wiggle walk script floating around, I know now what it is because someone who doesn't think anybody but their clan is a noob informed me.(Thank you, Swift Idiot.) I simply asked him "Hey shoe, how do you walk faster than the rest of us?" He replied: "Speedhacks, nub". It's small things like that that bother me about some of you elitists.
I don't know where I am going with this, I just think I needed to get my thoughts out to the CAL community before I started playing in matches, and maybe some of you will start thinking: "Hey, we all start out as pubbers. And you know what? NS would be nowhere without pubs."

Do not take this as a blatent rant of hate against CAL or its players. What it is, however, is a statement that Elitists are ****.

not all clanners are like this, but it only takes a minority to ruin it.

Either learn the tricks of the game like wiggle walking, wall strafing, marine bhopping off rails and stuff - or stop bitching about it. Okay it annoys you how these people are so good yet total arsewipes, hey you get that everywhere, it's only a minority.
I could make the same generalisation about pub players saying that pubbers are all total noobs due to the amount of times I've been banned from pubs for aimbotting, wallhacking, "medspam scripting", scripting (okay fair enough but why ban someone for scripting on a bs_0 server?) and I actually got banned from a server for bunnyhopping before, having been told "its an exploit".
I digress. The point is don't let the minority put you off, competetive NS is one of the best gaming experiences I've had. Just learn to tolerate or ignore the elitist idiots, and you're all set.
In all honesty I'd consider myself an elitist, I get annoyed with pub players. But I'm trying to do something about it, it's called #nslearn.

Do you honestly think that he is associating groups here? No, we ALL come from the same background, therefore elitism is impossible. There is no royalty here. We are all pubbers.
He is not being elitist, he is using a HIGH sense of sarcasm because I'm sure he's using to taking crap from crappy players who can't understand why a better player is beating them. By using sarcasm, he can sort out those who want to give him crap, and those who geniunely want help.

It's not even 1 person. It seems that its the minority of clans that are friendly, funny, and fun to play with. I guess I'll just go out and get to know every single clan out there. Hopefully.

How about someone simply say that the player in question acted poorly, and perhaps provide a link to said script??
You talk a good game about wanting to help further NS, and this is just another example of you (as a group) failing to come through..

Unfortunately NS has become so competitive to the point where most people are starting to incorporate clan type skills (in)effectively into pubs, wall/strafewalking has been around for a long long time along with scripts that do various things. Elietism (if I can manage to spell it) is probably someone's way of saying 'pwned' but in a much worse way, to the effect that 'you suck at ns go play somewhere else'. It isnt just in competitive NS, but pubs and pugs too.

Look if you don't have anything nice to say about other people, don't come here and post about it. It's not going to benefit you or anyone else in the ns community if you trash talk and more importantly, it's not going to make them stop from pubbing.

Actually it was 2 guys from eR that were smurfing under .disputed or something like that. They were owning (even though i had a higher K:D ratio than them) but they were not playing seriously and spend a lot of time trash talking after accusations from the aliens side that they were hacking. Then funbags asked, "can i request that these **** be banned?" to the admin, and both of the guys, in addition to some other random guy that was unrelated to them, but was quite skilled, got perma banned.
No wonder so many of the severs have low quality people now(i'm not trying to say that new people are dumb, but just not knowledgable enough about the game to be proficient at it). Interestingly enough, these servers have average players, which, obviously, are better than the newbies, that yell at the new players for making mistakes and these new players accuse the average players of hacking. So you might as well ban everyone and call it quits -.-

Mainly, It's just that a lot of us pubbers would have so much more respect for some of these people if they stopped acting like they are superior.
Hah, I was watching a demo of Terror....jesus christ....just...wow. Those guys are insanely good. I was playing with some of them on their server, and they are nice guys. Those are the clanners I respect. Sure, they own my hard, but they arent mean about it.
I killed xen`shoe with a level 3 hmg with 2 teammates with HMG's with me. He started talking trash about me hacking, and specing. It's that kind of stuff that directly offends me. It's like he was saying since I wasn't in eXi, or reflect, or CO, that it's impossible for a noob like me to kill him.
Basically I just needed some place to voice my feelings, and I thought the competative part of the NS forums was a good place. If it isn't, the mods can lock
this.

Because, Zunni, I feel that the "player in question" did nothing wrong. A little sarcasm seems like a strange thing to blow up into a big deal. The question he asked this, player in question, was a good question. Unfortuantly, a bit of sarcasm seems to blow him away, and right away he try's turning this into a public ordeal.
No one looks down at anyone, because that implies there is some sort of hierarchy. People need to stop looking at each player as a seperate group and realize when it comes down to it, we're all just a bunch of people trying to enjoy a video game.
Had he come in here, or anywhere, and simply asked for the script, without the public harrasment of a player behind their back and totally uncalled for, I'd have gladly searched for it and explained to him how it worked, in detail if nessacary. Comeing to a forums complaining about poor treatment when he himself doesn't show adaquite behavior and decentcy seems a bit unjust.
To you, Funbags- If you'd like this script however, I'll gladly help you out with it. I simply don't like your post.
