Yeah, I made a mistake there - it's because you have to stop and be immobile to regain MP that I disliked the magic system. Plus you could cast like 3 damage spells before youd be out of MP. Dunno why Morrowind was particularly annoying. There are many games where the same is the case.
Right now I just remember one, Star Wars Gungan Island (something like that). It was a RTS game with just nothing really. You could make creatures and plants and see them move around pretty much nothing els.

FF7 bar FF6 is the best out of all the FF series imo, of course others have different views.
As for daikatana ive never had the pleasure of playing it, maybe one day ill actually pick it up from the pound shop and see if it is any good lol.
As for most hated games id have to say Deux Ex 2, not only does it bring the most powerful PCs to their knees the gameplay and characters are a complete letdown.

The stock spells are much more efficient than what you can make. It's also a good idea to favour damage over time as opposed to all at once, as that saves a lot of magicka too.
You can always buy tons of magicka potions (or make them yourself) if you're constantly running out halfway through a battle. Enchanted items are also great magicka savers, don't ignore the "cast on use" items.
One thing you need to make sure of is that you're not using magic like a cudgel. If every spell you cast is a damage one and you're not following them up with a good two handed beatdown, you need to rethink your class.
One thing you might want to consider if you still want a mage character is to choose the Atronach birthsign. You can't regen magicka by sleeping, but you get twice as much(!) and you absorb half of the spells that are casted at you (which becomes your main source of magicka).
Officially, E.T the Extraterrestrial for the SNES.
Unofficially, X-com Interceptor.
You thought Apocalypse was bad? Apocalypse grows on you if you stick with it for a while, Interceptor is just unexcusably horrible.
Why?
The controls are totally buggered. You try to steer your ship and it steers too far! Messing with the sensitivity does nothing; it's like there's some sort of minimum unit of turning your ship has to make, which makes fine adjustments to aim totally impossible. That said, I did play AND complete the game.... the storyline was nice if nothing else.
And don't even talk to me about X-com Enforcer.... *shudder*
That 50cent crime fighting game and the starship troopers game.
Words can not express how hilarious I find 50cent, let alone a game where he fights crime. Just stay away as far as possible from it.
And has anyone seen the screenshots for that starship troopers game? The textures really look like **** and from what I've seen and heard from a teaser clip, the sounds are of a horrible low quality and the animations are just laughable.

Anyone ever heard of Breed? I played the demo a while back. It was incredibly, horribly, hilariously, nail bitingly bad. Definitely the worst game I can remember playing.

Easily the worst game I've ever played was Frank Herbert's Dune. I bought it for $10 and though hey it can't be that bad. It was. The character animation is terrible at best. During dialog scenes the camera zooms in on the character's faces and half the time the lips don't move whatsoever and the other half they choppily move up and down not in sync. The game wasn't even fun to play or faithful to the story of it's namesake. The funny part is that ign gave it and 8.5!

Catwoman and and FF game. Before you kill me for hating FF, let me explain. I can't see why everyone loves these games so much. It is essentially the same as any other RPG out there, and there are better RPGs (KOTOR?), trust me. The characters are boring, the storyline is very linear and none of the games have any sort of story in common.
Comments
I'd say...Knights of the Old Republic.
Cliche story(until the last 5 minutes), bad use of a good engine, terribly boring fighting.
I hated the DOOM games, but lots of people like them so that's just personal hatred.
