    A player from the korean version of GunZ (ironically named Korean) has posted some replays in the GunZ Replay forums. As far as I can tell, it's on a whole new level compared to us <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Below are a compilation of SOME of the replays. These include step techniques, and of course, the previously mentioned out-of-the-world gameplay.

    Seriously, I STILL can't manage to do the slash-shoot technique. In fact, I still can't do multple wallruns either.

    EDIT : Oooh, and extract them to My Documents > GunZ > Replay folder.
    And ignore Gunz00, it's me playing VERY horribly.

    Yay, I am now in the clan!

    I'm lvl 13 right now, I might not be playing as well as I used to because I sorta stopped for a while. It'll come back to me pretty quickly though, I love wallruns!

    Look me up for a match sometime!

    Mmm after Rico watched the replays I bugged him for the password of a seemingly locked room. Guess what he was doing <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    A bit more...funner today. I did manage to get the feel on multiple wallrunning a bit more. Turns out you have to double tap Jump while mid-dash. Not funn when you can't time stuff VERY quickly.

    And I finally got my second shotty that has more bullets! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    I changed my mind about the shotty. These things are GREAT midrange. Not to mention they can chew up a meleer quickly if you can quickswitch like them korean players.

    And finally practised my aim some more. I practically went from hitting nothing to switching to and from shotgun to rifle and MANAGE to hit about 50/50. Throw in a few grenades as well and you have a dead body. Maybe two if I get lucky.

    I am now lvl 14, and have been spending my time severly owning in Assassin.

    now THAT is where the XP is at <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> (so long as you do massivly large games with people your level, 1K+ For killing the glowie is sweet)


    and if any of you see either AznFang, or Linea.... ph33r them. Both good players and cool people.

    atm I am using lowest lvl rifle, lvl 13 dual uzis, and my dagger.

    just curious but is it even worth trying to do the korean style fighting with a level 10 shotgun? It's not given me much luck, but then again the quickswitching is kinda a bit hard for me to do... all the other stuns are easy but switching weapons twice and somehow managing to fire while keeping air control just boggles my mind XD

    what REALY scared me was the "instant kill" thing.

    it LOOKs like he must have pulled about 5 quicksqitches with out it being visable....


    And it isn't even sometihng he can only do in controlled places, I watched him do it on the Town recording....

    so wrong.

    Ohhohoho. It's VERY well worth it once you manage to quickswitch while dashing. If you can do that, you can double dash indefinitely (until your fingers wear out)
    Essentially, if you can play like them, you can fly. I'll be updating with another set of replays I guess. One of them has Kraise playing in Castle, and everytime he ALMOST falls down, he somehow manages to climb the walls. Heck, he even uses them to take shortcuts!

    You can hold off the shotties until 13-ish, and that is the time when you want to ramp up your level of play.

    Seriously, those replays make them look like they have a 3rd hand.

    what is this 'quick shifting'? I just hit my number keys to change weapons...

    it's too bad you usually can't hear the person you're spectating fire in replay mode...

    all those korean acrobatics are all well and good, but I can't help but wonder whether their energies would be better spent aiming rifles at people instead of leaping around trying to get close... I've played against ppl who play like that, and more often than not, I mow them down from afar before they can hop and skip into shotgun range...

    The problem is that they move fast enough to avoid rifle fire. Unless you can somehow become a living aimbot of sorts, it will DEFINITELY be hard to hit them with mentioned rifles since they dash around indefinitely, while in the air. An example would be in korplay2.grz, where Kraise is pretty much staying on top of the buildings by walljumping them a lot.
    <b>EDIT</b> : We do have an upperhand as we have dealt with blinking fades and celerity skulks, but when you know that their hitboxes manage to change a whole lot.....yeah. Somewhat hard, but we still have an upperhand compared to other iGunZ players that haven't played NS yet <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    There ARE tryhards in iGunZ, and to say the least, they haven't learned how to manage their air yet. It's also VERY difficult to quickswitch/slashshot while dashing in midair. Whenever I try, one of my fingers lock up due to the excessive stress it causes.

    Quick switching is a technique used to get more air. I've seen it used in the korean replays by various people, but I have NEVER seen an iGunZ player do it.
    You can also switch to slash-shots during quick switching to deal unblockable damage while the target is stunned, unless the player manages to somehow block the initial slash. Probably best fit for dual revs and shotguns.
    <b>EDIT</b> : Quick-switching is also a defensive manuever, as shown in Korplay2.gzr. Kraise is hopping around when 2 female characters are chasing him (her?) into a corner. Kraise then goes into a quick-switching frenzy, killing a character in the process.

    And if you can quickswitch fast enough, it's said you can pull off around 3 slashes in one jump. Don't ask me. Kraise was the one who posted it on the GunZ forums <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    But it DOES explain the uber fast shotguns though.

    <b>EDIT </b>: I'll give an example of the skill gap between most iGunZ players and Kraise.
    Kraise : Quick switching is easy!
    Average iGunZ populace : *attempts to quick switch while wall climbing, resulting in RSI*

    Of course, the average kGunZ player is somewhat the same level as us. The only difference is that they know how to exploit these moves really well, and efficiently too.

    While they're out there able to do the quickswitch while dashing, I'm trying with every fibre of my being to do the same, and yet I CAN'T do it.

    wait... by quickswitch do you mean they're carrying TWO shotguns they switch between or are they using the sword to reset their firing timer? :o

    That would be the slashshot.
    Quick switching is Jump -> Slash -> Switch to weapon -> Switch to melee. It get rids of the delay of slashing things so if you can somehow manage to pull it off, you'll be doing walltricks a whole lot faster. It also acts as a defensive mechanism as I pointed out earlier in Korplay2.grz <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I tested quick switching and figured it tricks the game into thinking you're still in the air, allowing you to pull off some other maneuvers *coughwallrunscough*

    The 2 shotguns are just their loadouts. Kraise does double shotties, as well as a few other players....

    I've got a level 13 named Barbarossa with the second rifle, the 13 smgs, a dagger and some upgraded armor. I usually manage to get into the top 3 (1st most the time ^^) unless I'm playing with a LOT of higher levels.

    I'm not too into it though, servers are down a lot and the play is getting repetetive. I was actually considering buying one of the grenade/rocket launchers to mix things up. One questing I do have though, anyone know how effective AP is? I don't want to buy the 20AP jacket because it looks ugly and I'm all about style, but if it's a real difference, I'll leave my lovely cotton shirt behind.

    As I heard from Gem in yesterdays wallrun practise session....

    Damage to normal areas of the body : 50% HP 50% AP
    Damage to neck area (head hitbox) : 75% HP, 25% AP

    Here's an idea if you find the play repeditive: Use a gun that doesn't require you to face in the general direction of the enemy and hold mouse1 until they die.

    Just from playing, first of all, the mouse perception is really laggy, and it takes so many damn hits to kill someone. >_<

    Wait, I'm sorry, "defeat" someone.

    Are you sure you finish Gunz?
