[edit2] lol i just realized that the files go off and on because im using free yahoo briefcase and not using the premium. only way to download 100% is by letting the user sign up for yahoo =(.
i think that boo's cage should be the SC, i made a fast modell in milkshape, it's not that good but hey, i might have inspirated someone who can make another one or work more on mine? anyway it looks like<a href='http://www.zappnet.org/boocage.JPG' target='_blank'>This</a>
it "might" need a few more bars but that is easy fixed. but anyway... i think the cage would be better for an sc <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
well, i didn't really check this topic often cuz i'm not mario fan #1 i like the games as far as i played them tho
and i must say nice work to all involved, this pack looks promising
keep up the funny work <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Okay I was working on Magikoopa, I <i>had</i> his head done (albeit rather high poly) but then windows (curse it) crashed. So I reboot, restart max. The crash corrupted a few max dlls, and the .max file. So I'm back to my last exported .3ds, which is a while ago. Grr. And I have to reinstall max, which is proving to be quite difficult as I can't reinstall without removing, and the uninstaller/repair thing crashes. If only Max worked on linux.
Okay here's Magikoopa's nearly-complete head. All it needs is a nose. I just did some basic Max materials for colour, so the glasses look crappy. <img src='http://dorian.carpe-noctem.ca/mario/magikoopa/magikoopa1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
nice so far <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<img src='http://www.gamingfiles.com/network/smilies/beer.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />Im going to get hooked on this stuff, i may not say much, but i follow it well, keep up the great work.<img src='http://www.gamingfiles.com/network/smilies/beer.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
oh and dorian, nice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> whats the polycount in that render?
nice magi koopa. um you know that mesh you made for my bullet bill, the bolt closest to the left side is cut off, but can easily be fixed. anyways here is just a sample skin with just 2 main colors and good old copy paste for the eyes/skull just until someone skins it =D.
lol i made it into a gigantic w_hg.mdl and it looked kind of plain. i guessing lithun wrap makes it look much shinyer in render mode than in the hl engine. Stupid onos mest up the snap shot by going throught it, DANG YOU ONOS!!!!
that poor jetpacker is gonna get shot in the face! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
lol didnt know the jet packer was there, anyways can someone skin it so it will look more shinyer and cooler =D. lol its kind of blurry considering the skull i used was outstretched from a bulllet bill pic w/ a size of 32 by 64 pixels.
I'll rework the mesh and skin it. The rest of the models are untextured colors, so I guess I'll continue the theme. Makes it easy <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I do have one question about the bullet bill... animations. The normal seige spins and the cannon moves when firing. How is this going to spin, and how is the bullet going to fit in?
why dont you convert the original stuff from SMB? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Like aim the launcher down when it is not built yet. And when it completes the build, make the launcher move up to a 90 degree angle and have the bullet pop out a little while its still in the launcher. and for the shooting, probably have the launcher stay still, and make the bullet pop out then in periodically?
edit: or just put a small rotating disc under neath it, just like the thing you use to sculpture pots?
erm i think it needs to be made a little smaller <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
