For some reason, the renderer cookie uses couldn't pick up the chrome effect, so it just rendered the texture.
Looking at that bullet bill, it looks like there's a few wasted polies there. So I'm going to optimise it a bit if you don't mind. I'll repost with an optimised version in a bit.
Edit: 474 polies now, and there's no difference to the shape of the model. Could probably lose 10 or more but it would be more hassle than it's worth. I also fixed a few face errors, I recommend having the 3D view set to flat shaded zwing so you'll spot them yourself next time. If there's a problem with me doing this then PM me and I'll get the file down asap.

That is the weirdest mesh I've ever seen to be honest. For starters, adjacent polies are different colours. I might have a crack at meshing it on Sunday night, might not have the time though.
zwing: you can create 3DS files using milkshape. Just have the file opened, go file > export > Autodesk 3DS. When you chose the filename, you have to manually add the .3ds extension.

did someone already make a star for catalyst. i know i did, but i didn't know what i was doing. anywho i made another, it looks exactly like the one i made before except this one has low polycount. the other pc was *cough* ~1900 *cough* *cough*. hehe never knew cylinders & spheres had so many purposes. CC appreciated

I have bad news, we can use an custom hud for the commander using stuff from mario games but they get grey and you cant compile the sprites any other way then indexalpha (grey and trans).
