Does anyone else think the rank system is broken?
At the rate I'm going according to the BF2S.com stat tracker it'll take me 254.17 days to reach Corporal, 656.24 days to reach Sergeant, and 1,349.48 days to reach Staff Sergeant.
Now that's straight game time, so considering that I have to do other things in order to live let's say I put in an average of 3 hours per day.
Corporal: 84.72 days or 2.82 months. Sergeant: 218.75 days or 7.29 months. Staff Sergeant: 449.83 days or 15 months.
So over a year huh? Guess I need to get better or play an ungodly amount of BF2.

So he got to sit back, and watch the hilarity through non-tunnelvision, as we wandered the sky, and Im pretty sure I shot down the SU34 in that engagement, and the F18 managed to get behind the MiG29 at some point, and I just let him handle that while we went off and pwnzed ground targets.
Oh, and Hellbilly, that looks like you got the Armored Service ribbon right at about exactly the same time as I did, maybe I somehow caused you to get it? We were in the same squad, (Im the green APC in the left section of his radar) so maybe my APC action somehow affected my teammates...? Anyway, I think I got that after taking out an enemy APC and then backing over an enemy spec ops trying to C4 me. Also, I discovered something cool, and a little evil earlier that game, about APCs. I was capturing that point on the hill, in the upscale neighborhood on Karkand, when I noticed a squad of enemy infantry behind me. I didnt want to move, because I was capturing the point, so I just turned my turret around. But I couldnt aim down far enough to hit any of them. Seeing this, they rushed me, anticipating an easy kill. Then I realized something, and hit F4. Thats right, I switched to the rear gunport. Mowed down 2 of em, and then the machine gun overheated. There were 2 more bogies coming at me. So I hit F5. Fresh machine gun, no heat! Mowed down the last 2, captured the point, and drove off. I dont think they expected that...

Half a year of straight game play or of normal time? Not everyone is going to be playing the game every waking moment.
Easy, he wasnt flying. I was. He was my copilot.
