Maybe the memory leak fix made it easier to aim propely?

And those Air to Air TV guided shots... Beautiful.

I have the most fun piloting but I get the most kills driving the tank...

I have 7777 points, I've played medic for 33 hours, and I just now got basic first aid =P I guess that makes me a non-team player or something... I *thought* I did a fair amount of healing...

doing calculations based on my stats is fun - even if you prefer one kit, if you divide your kills with a kit by your time played on that kit, you may find you're better with another kit... I play mostly medic but I have a slightly better record w/ AT, for instance...

as irrefutable proof of how worthless sniper is vs. anyone who knows what they're doing, I've played the game for over 60 hours and I've been killed by sniper rifles 10 times. I've only been killed by the grenade launcher 4 times, so there's another useless weapon for ya.
• funbagsfunbags Join Date: 2003-06-08 Member: 17099Members
I own so hard with grenade launchers. I've destroyed countless LAV's and Buggy's with them. Not to mention a blackhawk that was severely damaged, trying to secure a point on two occasions. Assault or Medic are probably my favorite classes, with AT coming in third, not because I like it a ton, but because I find myself picking it out of neccesity.

Apparently, I really am...
I seem to be ranked #239 out of 422,554 Aviators, in all of Battlefield...
I didnt realize till now just how in depth the stat tracking system is.
And no, I wont be taking #1 anytime soon. That guy has around 10000 kills, and 400 deaths, makes my 10:1 ratio look paltry...

/EDIT
Well, being better than 99.95% of pilots isnt bad, especially with 75% of my deaths come from getting teamkilled...

/EDIT2
HOLY CRAP ON A STICK, Im ranked #76 as Engineer! out of 405,193!
w00t!

I think I'm a pretty good pilot, but my KD is about 3:1 because I seem to be a kamakazi pilots + lag + teamkiller magnet. I've had people fly with me a whole game and say they never seen so much bull **** happen to a helicopter in a game

They have certain drugs that can take the sting out of ADHD; my friend takes some. They don't work very well, but hey. Maybe they would for you.

With any luck I'm buying the game today at Fry's, if I can get someone to drive me and if they have it.

This is a public service announcement.

If a medic is trying to heal you, do not run away from him. He is not going to tickle you under the armpits, he is trying to keep you alive. If the medic sees that you're extremely low on health and throws you a bag, try and pick it up so that you can stay standing upright.

"But he can just defibrilate me!", you say. That brings the medic into the line of fire, and besides, it's not always possible (when your corpse is sliding down a slope or is knocked off a building/cliff).

Please. If you have no respect for that teampoint that gives you life, at least have some respect for the medic.

Heh. I did make a wicked sweet sniper shot though.

Very much so, actually. From what I hear, most Heli pilots use mouse and keyboard to fly, including the better pilots. I cant speak for its ease of use, as I use a joystick for Helis, but supposedly, mouse and keyboard are actually usable, unlike with jets.

I haven't practiced with BF2 chopper piloting much myself, but I was very good at flying gunships in Desert Combat using mouse and keyboard. BF2 doesn't quite have the "sharpness" that DC has, but it's more or less the same thing. Fixed wing flight can also be done mouse-and-keyboard, but hitting targets with the gun is a bit tricky. I practiced A-10 flying in DC for countless hours so I'm decent at it, but it's still not great.

I can fly and bomb pretty well with mouse & keyboard..it's just air to air fighting i'm completely naff at.
