enforcer, what do you mean by "long range launch sticky bombs" ?
he means how you can hold the button down to launch stickies farther. usually not necessary but good for getting distant sentries (or bombing the end of a long corridor like this guy was)

You seem to not know which level we are referring to... In this level the doors open after the "setup time" and stay open. In other maps though that is one huge annoyance I have, and I'm not really sure how to get past it.

exactly, this was on Gravelpit, every one should know to expect stickies. Normally people just put them at the base of the door and they either get blown away or people are silly and the demo gets like 3-4 kills.
This guy put them above the door and was thus able to lure more people out (no one ever looks up). Only problem? They were to far away and he only got 1 kill out of it (and 1 or 2 more from people he had weakened, but still).

Tip for demos, when charging for that long range shot, if you switch to the secondary fire while charging, your stickie won't fire until you let go of the button. Of course this blows up any stickies you all ready set so it only works for the first shot really. Most people don't expect the demo to be fully charged when they first see him so it's good for surprising opponents at a distance especially if you get a crit.

The charging up thing is neat, didn't realize you could do that.
I blew up a sentry today with that trick. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
The gravelpit door bomb trick never ceases to amaze me... because people keep falling for it :s
I know some people will 'sacrifice' themselves to clear the bombs out but on the server I play on it's common to have 2 or more demomen chain bombing it so the first explosion goes off, people go 'waii clear!' run through and the second blast is set off. By the time this is done the first demo is already in the process of relaying theirs.
You're best just using the medic setup uber charge trick to bypass it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
One spy tactic that works stupidly well for me that I don't see other players using is the following: 1) Disguise as a frontline class <b>from your team</b> (press - to flick between teams on the disguise menu). 2) stick your head around a corner so the enemy can see you and start heading your way 3) duck back around the corner and cloak 4) manouver around the corner and wait for the enemy to reach the location you were at for free backstab fun!
Because they didn't see you as a spy they don't even think about cloaking for a second and instead assume you've run off. Sometimes they'll just keep running in the direction they last saw you but quite often you'll get lucky and they'll just stand there as they think whether to give chase or head back <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
This tactic always works... always. Even on players who've fell for it 30 times <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Oh and as a survivalist player I HATE SOLDIERS and their HORRIBLE CRIT ROCKETS. While I suspect it's not been keeping my scores properly I've often had my streaks ended by a lucky point-blank rocket or walking around the corner to get one in the face. I've sometimes got so angry about it all that I've gone soldier myself ~spit~ and dominated the server while typing out essays of soldier hate. Unfortunately this leads to everyone else on the server switching to soldier too... not sure if it's because I'm scoring so high or because I'm doing it while typing stuff like "I had been diagnosed with terminal cancer but when I class switched to soldier I was cured! now I'm healthier than I've ever been and I can lift 20 oil tankers with one arm." and "you know hiroshima? that wasn't a bomb they dropped, it was a soldier crit."

I don't feel sappers should do less damage though, havn't played yet so we'll see how that turns out.

1) Disguise as a frontline class <b>from your team</b> (press - to flick between teams on the disguise menu).
2) stick your head around a corner so the enemy can see you and start heading your way
3) duck back around the corner and cloak
4) manouver around the corner and wait for the enemy to reach the location you were at for free backstab fun!
This tactic always works... always. Even on players who've fell for it 30 times <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Heh... I almost tried this once but the majority of the time the servers just have so many people that it's not worth it to try this sort of deception. I just shoot at them with spy, duck around the corner, and then cloak behind them and stab them. Never seems to fail either (as long as you make sure the cloak is fully on before you walk out)
The greatest thing with spy is when someone KNOWS I'm there, and they're chasing me but I cloak and make a little backstep so they continue straight with me now behind them stabbing them. It just makes me wonder how frustrated they must get to wonder how the hell I got behind them and stabbed them. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Honestly, I thought that was a feature.

Same honestly.
The civilian thing was just you spawning as a scout with only a melee attack or something (and reduced speed I think)
I don't feel sappers should do less damage though, havn't played yet so we'll see how that turns out.
This sounds like his other attacks deal less damage.
so you can't speed up a sapper (as much) by just pistoling it a few times.

I wasn't sure if it did this, I had a slight suspicion the other day but to have it not drain if you switch weapons does go against what most players would assume... I think now they just need to make it so that the medic is still ubered even if he switches weapons, otherwise it's stupid...
Maybe I should make a plugin to that end.

This might be true... Now that you mention it it does seem to be worded more in that direction. Would also make more sense. I think it's ridiculously hard to sap buildings as it is since all the engineers just sit next to them with a wrench and so it doesn't make sense to make it harder, but meh...

the civilian used the scout model and just hovered above the ground without any animations. he couldn't attack. it was mostly just amusing. at least we know that, since it exists, they are or have at least considered a Hunted style map...
after posting...
So does this mean they might be implementing another game mode with the civilian class? and what happened to the medic achievement pack?
A big fat <b>nay</b> to that one. If a medic wants to be invulnerable, he can have his medigun out. If he wants it to actually be useful, he can bloody well do his ######ing JOB and find a teammate. It will never ever be acceptable to have medics just making themselves invulnerable and charging in with the syringe gun rather than grabbing a teammate and übercharging together. The medic must never ever retain invulnerability when he switches away from his medigun. Never.
Why don't you just equip him with a crit launching rocket launcher?
(would someone English / American please correct me whenever I use the 's or s wrongly? Improve my grammar)

oO
's when you are abbreviating is: "It is an honour to meet you. -> It's an honour to meet you."
s when you are using the plural: "one rubber band -> two rubber bands"
's when you are talking about ownership: "My house is nice, but Joe's is much nicer."
I think that should cover it, but if someone wants to correct me fell free to do so <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

That TF2 Trivia is hilarious, but the rest is lame. The guy that called him "Olmec" wins.

Personal Pronouns are the exception:
Its, His, Hers, Theirs, etc are all possessive instead of plurals.
It's is "It is", instead of possessive of "It".
Those are the major exceptions to the rule.
