I've played Subnautica now for about 8 hours with minimal crashes and bugs until now.
The problem starts after visiting the Mountain Island. When I depart the island in my Seamoth (heading back to my base in the shallows by mylifepod) I always end up crashing at some point along the trip. I'll reboot, reload my save I made while I was on the island and try again. I sometimes crash sooner or maybe make it a bit further, but it inevitably hangs for a moment, starts moving again for a split second, then crashes. This is my second save that has been ruined by this issue after putting hours of work into it. I've tried swimming back instead of driving the Seamoth, going slower, driving closer to the ground to let all the assets load in, taking a roundabout way, etc. To no avail.
This bug is very frustrating, as I lose all the progress I've spent hours amassing.
It might help if I were able to make multiple game saves so that if I encounter this kind of bug, I can load an earlier save that isn't tainted. As it is now every save overwrites the previous.
Well i am using current non experimental build and crashed shortly after leaving and Island and heading to my base in seamoth.
Wow 27 hours of flawless fun and now it is unplayable crashes every time i try to go anywhere.
Hmmm same problem as above apparently i'm not the only one.
Game constantly crashes in the Grand Reef area when diving to 200+ meters. Begins with massive stuttering and ends up crashing pretty soon. Been playing for 13 hours without a single crash, so its kind of a bummer to get this now.

Every time I try to run the game a dialog box pops up that says:

[Crash] Crashing near Mountain Island [v.40062 Oct-2016]
Experienced a couple crashes while approaching the Mountain Island - otherwise known as the "Energy Source" for the precursor gun. Also experiencing heavy lag in many areas, and poor framerate. As far as I know, Windows 10 is up-to-date as well as the video drivers. Crash folder reads: 2016-12-07_201852. From what I've been reading in the forums, this problem looks relatively common as of recently.
EDIT: Also forgot to mention that upon clicking "Exit" to quit the game correctly, it ends up crashing with no crash report folder - program basically becomes un-responsive.
I've had several crashes over the last few weeks. I can't pin down exactly what and where in the map this is happening. It seems to be everywhere and doing anything. I just get a serious frame rate drop then it freezes up and crashes.
There are 6 Output Logs from separate crash incidents. 3 of the crash reports are so long that they crash pastebin before it finishes pasting them.
I hope it's not against the rules, but I have a google drive folder sharing link here. They are compressed into a .7z file.
I went out with my seamoth for a run. It keeps crashing when I trying to get back somewhere close to the base. Three in a row now so I'm stuck. I looked at the error msg in the log said something about plant. I may have tried to collect some fruits when my inventory was full while at the base and my inventory is also full when I trying to get back.
update: Each time I load the save I'm outside the seamoth even tho I was inside when I save. I also tried to ditch the seamoth and swim back it will crash when I'm certain radius to the base too. I was unable to reach base at this point without crashing. I'm assuming its trying to calculate something in the base when I'm within some distance and not able to find certain plants. Please consider adding save to another slot ability in future so if one save is corrupted we may still continue from an earlier save.
ok , wow . i see am not alone, about 12 hours in and now i get tons of lockups and crashing, video freezing up, dropped down to lowest possible settings and still crashing. Here is my stuff for the dev's. hope this helps. i would hate to have to restart or even quite this game, but right now its just so unplayable , grrrrrrrrrrr
i dont understand why the devs adds more and more features, dont get me wrong i love the game and also like that they do something around it but isnt the highest priority to make the game stable?
Hello!
My game worked without any problems for the first 30h I played it, but now it crashes 5-10 minutes after loading my save. At this point subnautica is unplayable for me. It would be great if my favourite game would work again.
Hi, the game is perm freezing on survival mode after 5mins or if i go more than 100m from the starting pod. on creative mode i can go miles and miles and it doesnt freeze but if i build its 50/50 if it freezes, moonpool is instant freezing. i've tried reinstalling subnautica twice. I dont get a crash log or anything when it freezes, i've tried waiting it out see maybe it'll recover but a hour and half and nothing. when it freezes memory isnt capped out pc runs fast and smooth. so any ideas?

Help! I cannot play my subnautica game because it crashes after playing it for a few min. I've tried the troubleshooting page, I've tried reinstalling the game, I've even tried dumming down the graphics and it still crashes. I have no idea what to do anymore and am irritated that I can't play the new update. Hope this info helps with figuring out the problem.
