Thanks for keeping the game updated, the 64 bit patch will help keep this game playable for a long time hopefully!

Can't believe it's been 11 years, it's scary to think how much time i've wasted invested playing and trying to get better at Natural-Selection. Happy releaseday and thanks for creating the two best games I've ever played.

Ritual nailed all the points I was about to say. Enzyme is good for life forms killing structures and mucous WAS good for skulks/chipped life forms grinding a phase or other structures, I don't know if it is anymore (it got nerfed?).
I f… -
Just like everyone is saying above but in less words: They seem great but extremely situational. A grenade used in the wrong situation is useless. Though it might be invaluable in the right situation, especially for only 1.5 pres each.

I'm not trying to say that it shouldn't work for larger player counts. However, as someone who does not really play on large player count servers it is not really in my realm of understanding to balance it for bigger servers. Do yo… -
Who's turtle-ing? How does it make it harder to break
If aliens are turtle-ing Aliens will only have 1 hive and room for a limited number of life forms = easier to break.
If marines are turtle-ing Aliens will have 3-4 hives a… -

Yeah, this might be a problem with public servers. It just means that you need to be communicating with your team and working together. But yeah, would suck for public + beyond 6v6. I'm sure there's a way to fix it beyond that, but… -
Eh, In Starcraft 2 you need a supply cap to build units. It does not mean that you can destroy the structures that give you supply cap, and allow you to support more units, to kill the units that the other team has on the field. It would be ridiculo…

(Quote) Notice that you get more cap space as you take hives and get biomass upgrades. If the marines are turtling and you have 3 tech points you could have 6 onos. (remember that this is only talking about 6v6 play and that i don't know how this…

Haha, "It's not a defect, it's a feature!".
But nah, I assume once a hive died you could be over your cap limit but obviously were maxed out in cap until you went back below the cap.

the welder is better than the axe anyways?

OoOoh, cluster grenades.

Wooooooooo! Maybe more NA teams will be sort of kinda' active now!
-
+1, great team to play with, go go go!

Yeah, we have some Dallas servers that we play on which normally aren't the worst for European players but if enough people voice that they'd use another server we're flexible. I don't care what my ping is, my medpacks will miss re… -
Yeah, I'm trying not to mind too much until the new patch comes out. I would be stoked to see the fade cost increase to 50, babblers cost increase to 2 and cara having more of a bonus on onos to help those mid/late game pushes when marines are set u…

In regards to 7 minute fade ball/entire team fading: Why not tie lifeforms into the "population count(?)" that already exists in the game? Reduce crags/shifts/shades/whips/drifters cap hit on that x/200 limitation and add a bigger hit for each advan…

I have tons of fun playing 6v6 and see no problem with it. What's broken about a 6v6?

I'm confused as to how your perceived increase in marine income leads to commanders being useless now? With obs/phase tech cost reduced and the ability to build an arms lab without an armory you actually have options in how you pro… -
These changes are great. A lot more options for a marine commanders strategy and alien commanding is much more fun and involved now. Thanks for the great release.

NS2 runs fine for me. I also bought a new computer the day NS2 came out. Regardless it's bogus to say with absolute certainty that EVERYONE has the same issue with performance that you do. I wish the game would run better for my friends with less am…

I don't understand what's wrong with the current movement system so I can't really support any changes. I played NS for a long time and i've used bunny hopping in more than one game and I don't think it's something that will make NS2 a better game.<…

It's active enough to be enjoyable. The only downside I can see from having a relatively small competitive community is that team strategies are pretty homogeneous for the most part.
-
It sucks to see such a good team disband. Good luck with life though.

Verify your steam cache for the game. It deletes all mods in the same breath I believe.

Any upgrade/strat can result in a win, some are just more likely to work than others. This creates the fact that going with a less used strat has the upside of surprise. Nevertheless I would pick shade first before I would pick shift first.
I enjoy this game a lot and don't experience what you describe. Atmospherics can also be turned off.
