Instalynch is at 6, so don't add any votes for Theslan unless you want to kill him off immediately. A longer day should mean more time for information to be shared.
I know I'm pretty much dead, but I want to remind all you guys... do NOT instalynch me. More time means more discussion and information being passed around. All I can say at this time, good luck to all, and I hope humans will win.
... and I requestfully ask CMEast not to say 'that's not good' for my death. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm voting for <b>Cyndane</b> because I keep having this nagging suspicion about her that can't really be explained. This is just instinctive, I have no proof.
It appears that the idea of avoiding an instalynch to get more information is a complete waste, because apparently nothing is going to happen except for Mouse and TheMuffinMan coming along to make their votes.

As Theslan said, communication helps humans. Just because the game is dead at the moment, doesn't mean that the game won't liven up before the day ends.
At the moment, i don't see how i can do anything other than vote for Theslan. Im lost may well be a wolf, but it is just as likely that he is a human. If so, we are guaranteed to get one wolf here, so i would say that it is well worth it. If he is a wolf, then the game is pretty much over. If the seer is still alive (which would make Theslan a wolf), any contact would be great. I don't really care if it is anonymous, but any contact would help reassure me that im lost is telling the truth.
Ok, you want info. Fair enough then, I didn't vote for cyndane randomly as I am genuinely suspicious of her. Mainly because she seems to have a hand in half of the little things that go on, PMing with everyone etc and generally inspiring other peoples accusations. That suggests to me that she has a role.
However, I feel that a human role would have taken less of a backseat approach by now and that there would have been a more solid network going. As it is all I can see is vague whisperings in the corners. In general that is how I would consider that kind of behaviour... wolfish.
Unfortunately everyone has played the same game and, in general, been too cautious and tentative so no mistakes have been made or anything. Unfortunately people are still dying while we tiptoe around. Of course the game hasn't been helped by forum and irc problems but they really haven't been <i>that</i> bad.
I also feel slightly dubious about Zerobyte just for putting a second vote on cyndane when he isn't sure... however, I guess a second vote isn't that impressive considering Theslans teetering on the brink of auto-lynch right now.
And now im_lost, I do believe it's your turn to share how you feel. I think we should all say something even if it puts us in jeapardy because right now noone has anything to go on and a few wild accusations might be just what we need.
To be honest, I don't think I'm much good at finding suspicious behavior, and if I wasn't the psychic I would probably be completely useless in this game. However, I do have a plan of action, even if it's quite vague. Obviously, the first step is to find out whether the seer is real or not. If Theslan is a wolf, then I would think Cyndane would be a good person for the confirmed seer (in my mind, anyway) to check. If she's human, then EMP Demon is probably a good person to vote out, since all of the private chatter that Cyndane has apparently had (that I previously knew nothing about) would probably have allowed her to find out something useful. If she is a wolf, then she dies.
If Theslan is human, then the fake seer would die next. Since no one has come out and said that they are sure that I am hearing from a fake seer, it would be safe to assume that the real seer is dead. So, all we would be left with are the other accusations flying around, plus any connections we could find to that wolf. That makes things a lot harder.
Of course, there are several places that this could go wrong. The first possibility is that I'm lying about everything. I've been quite open about everything since I had to reveal that I'm the psychic (besides hiding the possible seer's identity, which is obviously necessary), me being the psychic fits with everything Legionnaired and Gwahir said (just because Legionnaired may have been the psychopath doesn't mean he wasn't trying to get wolves lynched), and there has been no word of another psychic or of the psychic dying (is this sentence long enough yet?). From my experience in previous games, you need to strongly trust or distrust someone at some point, or you will end up being quite useless.
There's also the possibility that the wolves decided to sacrifice one of their own to get my trust, and once I confirm that he is the seer I will be wolfed and the wolves will proceed to use this to lynch humans. If that's what happened here, then I don't see how we would find out before the endgame where we see that the wolves have won.
Finally, to TheMuffinMan, if you want to be contacted anonymously, you need to leave a method for people to contact you. There's nothing in your post or your forum profile that people could use, and I wouldn't expect people to create a forum account to send you a PM from.
The problem is we didn't hear from any of the roles for so long that, to me at least, it felt like they had both died. Don't forget that some people die before the game even begins and if a psychic was amongst them then we'd be stuck. Anyone could claim anything and not get caught.
If you were a wolf you could claim to be a psychic and, now that the psycho has gone, you could accurately say who is a human easily enough and then get people lynched. Of course that's being a bit paranoid but I can't help feeling that as a psychic you should have come forward a bit earlier or not at all. Either earlier to get a network up or not at all because technically the wolves should eat you now before anything is really set in place.
First, I tried to form an early network. I contacted Legionnaired, first anonymously and eventually I told him who I was. This seemed to be working fine until he decided to make some bold posts using very flawed logic.
As far as coming forward later, I didn't want to come forward at all. However, between Legionnaired's bold statements and Gwahir's efforts to get information, I was going to be lynched if I didn't reveal that I was the psychic. I honestly didn't expect to live past that night, my only goal was to clear up the confusion that was created before I died.
ok, well then as you are almost guarenteed to die. Could you please post all the pms from sky you've received so far so we can see 'human', 'not human' etc.
Quick question. Looks like Legionaired was the psycho so would have appeared as a wolf. Why, as a psychic, did you confide in him <i>before</i> you had 'scanned' him?
Posting anything from Sky would be cheating (along with any screen shots, no matter who the message is from).
For the other part, apparently you had me mixed up with the seer. All I know for sure is that there are currently three wolves left (at least before Petco's death, but it's safe to assume he's human).

Also, and this is going to sound a bit like a bandwagon, but i agree with CMEast. Cyndane has, at least in my eyes, played in the background, and has tried to set people against each other on IRC. She may be a wolf, she may not be. If the seer is real, then we should be able to find that out tonight.
One last thing: Could you explain what you were talking about when you accused Demon of being a wolf on IRC?
Just a heads up guys, I'm taking my grandma shopping today....don't know how long that'll take, but the driving to and from her house is an hour and a half alone, so I'm pushing the cutoff for the day back an hour to 4PM EST.
If im lost is right, then there are only 30minutes left in the day. I don't want anyone to get a phantom vote, so i might as well finish it. I've already made it clear who i am voting for, and why.
<b>Theslan.</b>
Instalynch! Until Sky gets back, consider the game to now be at night.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW NIGHT 6, NO POSTING</span>
The remaining hours of night passed, and as the sun rose above the horizon the last few scattered stormclouds broke up and drifted east, the fury of last night's storm all but a memory. Of course, the memory that would be forever ingrained in <b>im lost</b>'s psyche was the feeling of holding a human head in his bare hands; the storm barely served as a backdrop, it was so insignificant comparitively speaking.
The remaining crewmembers had also ridden out the storm however they could. <b>EMP Demon</b> had found a peculiar rock outcropping that he convinced himself he could remain dry under. He must have been awfully good at persuading himself, because come daybreak he was soaked. <b>Mouse</b> had gone strangely missing during the night, <b>ZeroByte</b> discovered when he awoke. <b>Cyndane</b> had spent the night in some lofty perch in the branches of possibly the only scraggly tree to eek out an existence on these cursed islands.
Strangely enough, one way or another, most of the crew had by the end of the night found themselves on the second island closest to where they had originally landed. The only person left on the original island was <b>Breakthrough</b>, and it only took him an hour to realize from the growing shouts of surprise and anger where everyone else was. Naturally, he decided it best to just stay where he was. He watched the spectacle unfold before him from the safety of the cliffs high atop the first island, and it truly was a spectacle: <b>im lost</b> had picked up the severed head of...someone...and was waving it wildly in front of every person he came in contact with, which turned out to be most everyone by noon.
"This happened last night!" <b>im lost</b> could be heard screaming from down below on the other beach, for quite possibly the fifth time in the last hour; <b>Breakthrough</b> had stopped counting.
"We're well aware that someone here killed Petco, <b>im lost</b>," said <b>Theslan</b> calmly. He had been cornered by <b>im lost</b> around 9am when he came down to the beach to wash some mud out of his eyes and try to wash off some kind of ridiculously itchy powder that had somehow gotten on his shirt. He had gotten in maybe 20 words since then. To say <b>im lost</b> was angry was a bit of an understatement. <b>Theslan</b> siezed the opportunity to shut him up, "Yelling about Petco's death really isn't going to help us much. We someone here killed him. Care to enlighten us who exactly it was?"
<b>im lost</b> paused for a second, before taking a deep breath. He looked around him. Everyone was still there, albeit pretending not to notice his current bout of yelling, but since there was nothing much else to do but listen and eat coconuts that had fallen on the ground, <b>im lost</b> knew everyone was listening. He leveled his gaze directly at <b>Theslan</b>, who was wearing a smile that was just a tad too cocky. "You did it," <b>im lost</b> stated. His loud rants and raves had not had one tenth of the impact that those three words had on everyone around him. Everyone now stopped pretending to do anything else, and instead now focused intently on the two men. <b>Theslan</b> chose his words with care, "And what makes you think that?"
"Because I know someone who's been running a little experiment on us, or so he says. I don't know exactly what he's doing, and I don't exactly expect him to come out now and tell us all how he did it, but suffice it to say he says he knows that you're one of the murderers, and at this point I'm more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt than randomly try to kill the rest of you scumbags off."
"Um, hello? Someone just randomly came up to you and told you that he knows I killed someone? Doesn't that even sound <i>remotely</i> suspicious to you?"
"It's between trusting him, and trusting you. He's at least given me a way out of this mess. You, you've offered nothing more than random killing. I'd rather go down knowing I tried to save this crew, rather than just sat back and waited for the end."
<b>Theslan</b> was growing anxious. He noticed the crewmembers who had previously just been standing around in the far edges of his peripheral vision were inching close, forming the beginnings of a circle around him and <b>im lost</b>. Sweat began to bead on his head. "Well, but...you have no proof? Why should anyone believe you?"
"Why should anyone believe you?" <b>im lost</b> countered with a grim look on his face. A slight nod of the head, and <b>Isamil</b> and <b>EMP Demon</b> broke ranks and lunged at <b>Theslan</b>. <b>Theslan</b> spun in place, avoiding <b>Isamil</b>, then grabbed and threw <b>EMP Demon</b> over his shoulder. <i>'I was a better ninja than a pirate,'</i> <b>Theslan</b> thought to himself as he took off for the rocky trail leading up to the top of the mountain. <b>im lost, Cyndane, Isamil, EMP demon, and Quaunaut</b> followed in hot pursuit, <b>TheMuffinMan</b> bringing up the rear in a gimpy gait that made him look like a less-freaky version of Jar-Jar Binks.
<b>Breakthrough</b>, watching from his perch on the other island, tensed at the sight of <b>Theslan</b> being chased by the 6 crewmates. <i>'Oh no, not another killing...'</i> he thought. Feeling helpless and unable to be the voice of reason, he sat back and watched the gory events unfold.
Like a perverse game of manhunt, <b>Theslan</b> ran up and down that mountain side twice, all the while being chased by at least 3 people. Rocks were flung, sticks were swung, but he just kept running, his heart beating faster than it had ever done before, because it very soon would never beat again. Finally finding himself alone on the beach with roughly a minute lead on the nearest hunter, <b>Theslan</b> looked around wildly for some escape. He found it in an old tree trunk, half-rotted but mostly solid. A single long stick laying next to it fairly begged to be used as an oar. <i>'I'll just paddle my way out of here, lose them on some other island, and wait for someone to stumble by to save me.'</i> Working quickly, <b>Theslan</b> got the trunk into the water and began paddling as fast as he could. He looked back just in time to see <b>im lost, Cyndane, Isamil, EMP demon, and Quaunaut</b> arrive panting and swearing on the beach. Laughing with glee, <b>Theslan</b> turned casually in the shadow of a cliff overlooking the bay he was floating in. Giving what would truly be a final wave to his pursuers on the beach, he casually began rowing away from shore. A stroke or two was all he had time for, before a boulder came down on his head, absolutely annihilating his pathetic raft as it crashed like a meteor into the water. The five people on the beach craned their heads in curiousity at the lone figure leaning on his knees on the cliff above: <b>TheMuffinMan</b>
Screaming in between pants, he yelled down at the very crushed <b><span style='color:red'>Theslan</span></b> below, "Don't EVER....make....me....run...again!" He barely had time to yell, before he collapsed in a heap.
"...Well, that's not good." <b>CMEast</b> remarked, as the group started up the path to drag their very depressed Captain back to his very depressed crew.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW DAY 6, POST AWAY</span>
After finally clambering to the top of the cliff where <b>TheMuffinMan</b> lay half-unconscious, the group of 5 helped each other carry him down to the beach where <b>CMEast, Mouse, and ZeroByte</b> had stayed for the entirety of the chase. They also noticed <b>Breakthrough</b> sunning himself on a rock near the water, or trying to at least. The sun was setting, and it was clear <b>Breakthrough</b> was only continuing to pretend to be sunning himself to rub it in the others' faces.
"And where have you been?" inquired <b>im lost</b> with more than just an hint of an accusatory tone.
"Oh, places," replied <b>Breakthrough</b> as casually as if they were on the biggest vacation island in the world, "Mostly watching you lot kill each other, you know, the usual."
<b>im lost</b>, tired from such a stressful and physically demanding day, didn't even bother to respond to such a flippant reply. He simply headed towards the nearest cave, found a rock that wouldn't rip his skin open during his sleep, and crashed. Hard.
"I think that's a fantastic idea," <b>Cyndane</b> thought aloud, turning to go back up the way they had just come, "I found the best spot to sleep last night, and it will be even better tonight without having to worry about getting struck by lightning. That'd only be slightly more fatal than sleeping with the rest of you guys. G'night."
One by one, the remaining crewmates limped off to bed, whatever "bed" they chose invariably being either too hard, too cold, or both. It is for this reason that <b>ZeroByte</b> got up during the night for a bit of a job. Sleeping with one's feet in a chilled pool of water...not the best way to spend the night, unless chattering teeth is sexy to you. Of course, <b>ZeroByte</b> was just a tad bit more awake than he should be; worrying about your impending death tends to do that to people. His eyes darting to every shadow and hint of movement, <b>ZeroByte</b> searched in vain for a better spot to sleep in. He didn't just worry about being killed; at this point, even being <u>seen</u> doing something suspicious would be suicidal, the tension level was so high. He had no intention of being the next scapegoat, just like he thought poor Theslan had been the day before. <i>'im lost, making everybody think that Theslan was a traitor, all based on one unknown crewmate's "experiments". Why did everyone believe him? Couldn't we have at least asked for his "friend's" identity?'</i><b>ZeroByte</b> thought as he walked aimlessly along, the rocky sand passing unnoticed between his cold numb toes,<i>'Speaking of <b>im lost</b>, where did that bugger sleep? Maybe he's up to something....maybe I'll even get a glimpse of this supposed friend. It'd be nice to actually know what the hell is going on for once.'</i>
<b>ZeroByte</b>, using the neighboring island as a landmark, worked his way around the island until he came to the cave he thought <b>im lost</b> had lain himself to rest only a few hours before. Creeping slowly along the base of the cliff, he was caught by surprise by a flicker of movement from inside the cave. Slowly, carefully, <b>ZeroByte</b> inched his way towards the cave, peering intently into the murky darkness....a single flash of light illuminated the darkness just enough to see at least two men, standing over the motionless body of <b>im lost</b>. The flash of light grew in intensity and size, elongating, revealing itself to be a...fuse. A FUSE! Wishing to curse but not daring to, <b>ZeroByte</b> dove behind a cluster of fallen boulders just before whoever was in that cave with <b>im lost</b> saw him. Dark, featureless shapes melded with the darkness permeating the area; when the fiery explosion came just a few moments later, there was no sign of the interlopers. It didn't take a rocket scientist to discern, however, that <span style='color:red'><b>im lost</b></span> was most decidedly dead, and any secrets he had held had died with him.
The sound of breathing perked <b>ZeroByte</b>'s ears. He barely had time to recognize it as not his own before <b>CMEast</b> calmly whispered from behind him, "...Well that's not good." <b>ZeroByte</b>'s resulting scream awoke the rest of the island; yet another day of death and dismemberment had arrived.
