I know where my main suspicions fall but I certainly haven't received enough information to wage war on the supposed wolves. If someone could pm me with the details I'd appreciate it.
After reading the IRC log, i am changing my vote to <b>im lost</b>. I didn't trust you guys from the start, and the log certainly does nothing to combat that. This whole thing feels like a set up to vote out quaunaut and earn trust from the humans (You are the only ones who have contacted deep blue, how hard would it be to say that there are only two wolves left?). Either way, one of you is going to have to go. Im lost is the more suspicious, which is why i am voting for him.
Irunno, there is always the possibility of log fraud. Thats sort of my issue with the log not being publicly posted. Then there is also the lack of rebuttal that makes me suspicious...
Well, i don't trust either of them. I was either going to vote for one or the other, and i would like to catch the wolf (of course, they may both be wolves). Unless Gwahir has some hidden motive, i don't really see why he would fake the log. If legion went today, then im_lost would probably go tommorow. I'm willing to give Gwahir the benefit of the doubt, and it won't really make a difference to me if we vote off the wrong guy. Next day, we'll get the right one.
Bit more than an hour left to go. You 3 might want to get your votes in quickly, ZeroByte especially; you've posted today, so there's really no excuse if you get a phantom.

After reading the log and taking some time to sort some thoughts out, I'm moving my vote to <b>EMP Demon</b>, solely because I don't know <i>WHO</i> to vote for. I've seen Gwahir's log and looked at a few of my old IRC logs, and I honestly just don't know who to vote for...
After examining the IRC logs, I have to move my vote to <b>im lost</b>. For now, he seems more suspicious than the other two from that log. As much as I suspect Quaunant, im lost seems very evasive in answering. Plus, his story does not seem to match up with Legionaire.
I wish I can write more, but I'm out of time since the day is almost done.
Here's the log Session Start: Tue Jun 07 00:53:23 2005 Session Ident: im_lost [00:53] <Gwahir> can you confirm legion's statement that he spoke to you [00:53] <im_lost> yes [00:53] <Gwahir> ah, so you previously lied to me then [00:54] <im_lost> yep [00:54] <Gwahir> do you know who deep blue is? [00:54] <im_lost> saying that i'm part of a network in the channel would be stupid, i think [00:54] <im_lost> i'm going to make a post in the thread [00:54] <Gwahir> you should have pmed me with the real data then. however I know you probably couldn't trust me. [00:54] <Gwahir> I'll probably die tonight, too much of a nosy risk to the wolves [01:00] <im_lost> are your suspicions of theslan based on the same reasoning as legionnaired, or is it something different? [01:00] <Gwahir> different [01:00] <Gwahir> legion strengthened feelings I had. I still don't trust you or legion [01:00] <im_lost> that's fine, i wouldn't expect you to [01:01] <Gwahir> I seem to have gained trust amongst players, but that makes me an easy target [01:01] <im_lost> i actually expected you to come out with a post trying to completely rip apart everything legion said [01:01] <Gwahir> I was going to [01:02] <Gwahir> what made me change? [01:02] <Gwahir> a couple things, one of which was mentioned in my post [01:02] <Gwahir> I unfortunately find that both the innocent and guilty make illogical posts [01:03] <Gwahir> but the guilty, in positions where they think they have a strong position, are less emotional [01:03] <Gwahir> I read emotion in legion's post [01:04] <Gwahir> more specifically, it's a smug calmness [01:04] <Gwahir> lost? [01:04] <Gwahir> when you're done laughing... [01:05] <im_lost> i'm actually working on a vote tally, and hydrairc doesn't alert me to new messages in private conversation windows [01:05] <Gwahir> ah [01:05] <im_lost> done [01:07] <Gwahir> your opinion? [01:07] <im_lost> theslan contacted me during night 3 and asked what i thought of the situation [01:08] <im_lost> i just told him that i hoped there was a network, and legionnaired was making too many assumptions in his post [01:08] <im_lost> the first part was completely a lie, and the second part was actually true [01:09] <Gwahir> you lied that you hoped there was a network? [01:09] <im_lost> i knew there was a network, since i was in it [01:09] <im_lost> which is a lot different than hoping that one exists [01:09] <Gwahir> doesn't really make it a complete lie [01:09] <Gwahir> according to older definitions, hope is certainty of something [01:10] <Gwahir> but not real knowledge [01:10] <Gwahir> so it's a little grey [01:11] <Gwahir> but legion still has a logical flaw, a serious one [01:11] <Gwahir> but that will show itself after one night [01:12] <Gwahir> why is muffin not voiced? [01:12] <im_lost> he isn't authed [01:12] <Gwahir> ah [01:13] <im_lost> theslan is reading, i wonder what he has to say [01:13] <Gwahir> I'm dead aren't I [01:13] <im_lost> i don't really know [01:13] <im_lost> i honestly expected legion to be dead by now [01:14] <Gwahir> you know, I kinda wondered what the gm would think of a human that decided to assist the wolves [01:15] <im_lost> what you said earlier about wolves vs humans making logic-based posts, whether or not there is emotion, that's what makes sky so good as a wolf [01:15] <im_lost> he has lots of emotion in his posts all the time [01:15] <Gwahir> sky does? [01:15] <Gwahir> this game that doesn't really matter [01:15] <im_lost> of course not [01:16] <im_lost> but the times when he has been a wolf, his defense posts were very convincing [01:16] <Gwahir> but you didn't answer my question. [01:16] <im_lost> which one? [01:16] <Gwahir> you know, I kinda wondered what the gm would think of a human that decided to assist the wolves [01:16] <im_lost> i don't know, and i can't see why it would happen, it would probably upset quite a few players [01:17] <Gwahir> yeah, not to mention it wouldn't exactly be playing by the rules [01:18] <im_lost> it might trigger a vote to determine if that person should be able to play in future games [01:18] <im_lost> why do you bring it up? [01:18] <Gwahir> just a thought that passed through my mind [01:18] <Gwahir> out of curiosity, do you know who deep blue is? I won't ask who [01:19] <im_lost> maybe [01:19] <Gwahir> I won't ask who [01:19] <im_lost> but i don't want to answer the first part [01:19] <Gwahir> the out of curiosity part? [01:20] <im_lost> whether or not i know who deep blue is [01:20] <Gwahir> why not, what difference does it make to you? [01:20] <im_lost> i'm not sure if i can trust you, and i don't feel like giving out that information [01:21] <Gwahir> but really, I have no idea who deep blue is [01:21] <Gwahir> and you knowing who it is or not does not change my knowledge of who deep blue is [01:21] <im_lost> it could change your perspective of how important i am to the network [01:22] <Gwahir> are you saying you're important? [01:22] <im_lost> i'm saying if you were a wolf, that's what you would want to find out [01:22] <im_lost> since you would assume i wouldn't tell you who deep blue is [01:23] <Gwahir> I would assume any sane person not to tell me who the psychic is unless they found they could trust me [01:23] <Gwahir> it makes you more trustworth that you are unwilling to tell me who [01:26] <Gwahir> give me a better reason why you are unwilling to tell me yes or no [01:27] <im_lost> i gave you my reason, that's all there is to it [01:27] <Gwahir> remind me of that reason in simple terms, I'm slow [01:28] <im_lost> [22:26] <im_lost> i'm saying if you were a wolf, that's what you would want to find out [01:28] <im_lost> [22:26] <im_lost> since you would assume i wouldn't tell you who deep blue is [01:28] <im_lost> your previous message was supposed to be in there also [01:28] <Gwahir> okay then, explain to me why that's what a wolf would want to know [01:28] <im_lost> to figure out who to kill in the network [01:29] <Gwahir> look, I seriously doubt you're the psychic [01:29] <Gwahir> if I were legion, and legit I would keep that info safe under the name of deep blue [01:29] <Gwahir> if I were legion and a wolf you are my buddy and also a wolf [01:29] <Gwahir> and you would not be listed in that case either [01:30] <Gwahir> is deep blue a nonentity? [01:30] <Gwahir> well, to use proper language, a figment? [01:31] <im_lost> deep blue exists, and i guess it can't hurt to tell you after thinking about it, i know who deep blue is [01:31] <Gwahir> I see. [01:31] <Gwahir> so when did legion or deep blue tell you [01:31] <im_lost> theslan posted [01:32] <Gwahir> he has good points [01:33] <Gwahir> my vote stands for now, however [01:33] <Gwahir> so when did legion or deep blue tell you [01:34] <im_lost> does it matter? [01:34] <Gwahir> yep [01:34] <im_lost> why does it matter? [01:35] <Gwahir> I'm forming a general timeline of events, it'll help me figure things out [01:38] <Gwahir> who are you talking to? [01:40] <Gwahir> 6 minutes without another word from you... what's up? [01:41] <im_lost> i'm not talking with anyone actually, just considering if i actually want to answer [01:41] <im_lost> and i don't think i want to [01:41] <Gwahir> could you give me a reason on that? [01:41] <Gwahir> I know this feels probing [01:41] <Gwahir> but I'm just trying to work things out [01:42] <im_lost> for me, it seems like telling you one thing will allow you to figure out more than that, and i don't trust you enough for that to happen [01:42] <Gwahir> Is there any way I can prove I'm a human [01:42] <Gwahir> and do you really think that I'm that intelligent? [01:43] <im_lost> 1: probably not; 2: if you're a wolf, only one person in the group needs to be able to connect the dots [01:43] <Gwahir> so you think this is a series of clandestine interviews that are being worked to determine who has the important roles? [01:43] <im_lost> i don't know [01:44] <im_lost> the only person i'm confident is a wolf right now is quaunaut, leaving two unknowns [01:44] <Gwahir> I swear on my honor that you are the first I've talked to in a pm [01:44] <Gwahir> at least in this game [01:44] <im_lost> legion's argument makes some sense about theslan and petco, but it could easily be wrong [01:44] <Gwahir> yes it could [01:45] <Gwahir> there is a serious logical flaw that I'm trying to resolve [01:45] <Gwahir> Legion constructed this network right? so isn't he in a good position to extract data from people by gaining their trust? [01:46] <im_lost> true [01:47] <Gwahir> making himself the public figure puts a damper in that theory though [01:47] <Gwahir> help me figure it out [01:47] <im_lost> i'm not going to explain why, but i am very sure that legion is a human, and no, i'm not the seer [01:47] <Gwahir> I know you're not the seer [01:48] <Gwahir> I have a theory about who the seer is [01:48] <Gwahir> hardly conclusive, a guess at best [01:48] <Gwahir> if you can convince me legion is human, that's one less person for me to worry about [01:49] <im_lost> for me to convince you, you would have to trust me, and i would have to tell you a lot more than what i am willing to tell you [01:49] <Gwahir> fair enough [01:50] <Gwahir> but how about that timeline data? when did you discover the identity of the psychic? [01:50] <Gwahir> you yourself thought it wouldn't make a difference [01:50] <Gwahir> I just feel I could create a chain later in the game, hope I survive [01:51] <Gwahir> need to use the restroom, be right back [01:51] <im_lost> i didn't say i didn't think it would make a difference, i was trying to figure out what you hoped to accomplish by asking [01:52] <Gwahir> okay, different question, this one aimed at determining urgency and qua's status, does qua know who deep blue is? [01:54] <im_lost> that's the most confusing part for me, actually [01:55] <im_lost> i think he knew earlier, but then i don't know why deep blue is still alive [01:55] <Gwahir> logical flaw number 2 [01:56] <Gwahir> were you all told at the same time then? [01:58] <im_lost> not really, not everyone knew who deep blue was at all, and there wasn't any direct communication between most of us [01:58] <Gwahir> legion kept you on a tight leash then? [01:59] <Gwahir> please tell me you talked to other members in the network to determine validity on your own [02:00] <im_lost> no, out of my own choice of just being too lazy [02:00] <im_lost> if legion was a wolf, deep blue should be dead [02:00] <Gwahir> that I can understand [02:00] <Gwahir> if deep blue is real... [02:01] <Gwahir> that is, if deep blue really is the psychic [02:02] <Gwahir> wow, I'm pulling so much intrigue into this I should write a bad novel [02:02] <im_lost> at least there's a good chance that both roles are alive, since i'm pretty sure i know the psychic and you think you might know who the seer is [02:05] <Gwahir> if you're right on all counts, qua is no wolf [02:10] <Gwahir> thoughts? [02:11] <im_lost> i certainly see how that could be, but for now my vote is staying on quaunaut [02:12] <Gwahir> well, you make my job difficult, tell me when you trust me more. [02:12] <Gwahir> ask whoever you want whatever you want about me [02:12] <im_lost> i'll keep that in mind [02:13] <Gwahir> one more thing, do you know just when qua was told of deep blue's identity? [02:14] <im_lost> no i don't [02:15] <Gwahir> but you thought that he was told earlier... [02:15] <im_lost> to be honest, the only thing i know about that is what legion told me [02:16] <Gwahir> k [02:16] <Gwahir> thanks [02:17] <im_lost> quaunaut saw the thread earlier, and is on the forums, he chose not to respond [02:17] <im_lost> or was on long enough to make several posts, at least Session Close: Tue Jun 07 02:20:50 2005
It appears it doesn't matter at this point, but I'm changing back to a random vote for <b>Isamil</b>. As I explained in IRC, here's what I know. Legion knew who I was during Day 2 (the psychic, deep blue, for those of you who missed the IRC conversation). If he's a wolf, then he's either using me, or he would have killed me during Night 3. If he's a human, then he's telling the truth about Quaunaut knowing that I am the psychic during Day 2, and since Quaunaut was in no position to manipulate me, he would have killed me if he was a wolf. If Legion was a wolf, he would not have gone after another wolf so strongly. Either way, that makes Quaunaut a human (or psychopath for all I know), and leaves Legion in either group.
As far as the status on the "network" that Legion mentioned. As far as I know, the only involvement that Saltz and Comprox had was receiving a PM from Legion with my anonymous psychic screen name. I haven't talked to Quaunaut at all this game.
The last psychic report I got said there are three wolves left. Since several people have been confused about this, the number DOES NOT include the psychopath, so it means that none of the wolves have died.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW NIGHT 4, NO POSTING</span>
The two groups of survivors ran to meet each other on a path between them on the mountainside. "What the hell just happened?!" screamed <b>Theslan, CmEast, Cyndane, and Mouse</b> in unison. Random yelling, cursing, and the assorted paranoia-induced rambling ensued, and all discernable discussion was lost to the boiling emotions let loose by the tragedy that had just unfolded moments before. Just before a fight broke out between <b>Theslan and CMEast</b> for no real logical reason, <b>Quaunaut, im lost, and EMP Demon</b> ran up and got themselves between the two. A quick survey of the situation told them all they needed to know; another two crewmates down, to a convenient "accident".
"Might I ask who those two puddles were?" inquired <b>Quaunaut</b>.
"SaltzBad and brute_force. It happened so fast, we were lucky the rocks hit them and not us." replied <b>Cyndane</b>.
"Wait...who are you? Why are you wearing Cyndane's...ohhhhh."
"Going out on a limb here, but I think we have more important things to worry about than the fact that 22 horny men on a cramped ship couldn't sniff out one hiding woman." Sensing that that particular conversation was going nowhere fast, the other 6 men nodded their heads in agreement. Just at that moment, <b>Legionnaired and Breakthrough</b> ran up the path from the other direction.
"What's all the rucku-OH MY GOD GIBS!" <b>Breakthrough</b> practically leapt out of his pants in surprise, "Shouldn't we get the others? They need to know we have another 2 killings on our hands." As <b>Breakthrough</b> cupped his hands to his mouth to holler for the rest of the crew - scattered throughout the island - to call attention to their late friends, <b>Legionnaired</b> grabbed his wrists.
"No, don't do that. Whoever did this is most likely among us right now, or at least someone who planned this. No one else is close enough to have caused or helped with this attack."
"Attack? How do you know this was an attack?" asked <b>Theslan</b> with a puzzled look on his face.
"Look up. The path the biggest rocks took, they're clearly marked in the mountainside. I'd be willing to bet someone made those deep grooves BEFORE the rocks carved them deeper, in order to aim the rocks right at the person they wanted to kill." It was quite clear, once you paused to look; the channels were definitely man-made, and look recently-carved.
<b>Mouse</b> piped up, "And you say whoever did this, or at least someone who helped do this, is here right now."
"Yes, either the person who detonated the rockpile, or at least one person who guided his group into position to be slaughtered."
"Jesus, I'm not participating in yet another kangaroo court. If anyone feels like killing me, I'll be sitting over here," <b>Cyndane</b> stalked off a few meters and sat down on one of the large fallen rocks. She carefully chose one that <i>wasn't</i> sitting on the body of a former friend.
"Well, that's fine, because I don't suspect you anyway," said <b>Legionnaired</b>, "I suspect <b>Quaunaut</b>."
"What? I just got here! <b>im lost and EMP Demon</b> were with me the entire time."
"Well, not the <i>entire</i> time. We did kinda split up for a bathroom break, remember?" muttered <b>im lost</b>.
"I don't care how much I know you guys, I am NOT sharing a bush with you when I do a number 2, okay?"
"Unfortunately for you, right now..."
"Well what about you, <b>im lost</b>?" <b>Quaunaut</b> face flushed red with anger, "You were just as "free" to push those rocks as I was. I had to search for you after I was done with my business, that's why it took so long for us to regroup. And <b>Legionnaired</b>! What the heck? We're just ignoring him? It was HIS idea that only someone here could have done this, AND he just accuses me for no reason, and we just accept that? I want an explanation!"
"Hmm...you may have a point. What gives, <b>Legion</b>?"
"I have my reasons," calmly replied <b>Legionnaired</b>.
"Not good enough buddy," seethed <b>Quaunaut</b>, as he flung himself at both <b>im lost</b> and <b>Legionnaired</b>.
The three scuffled standing up, until the 3 pairs of legs entangled themselves and the group fell to the dust, all the while cursing, choking, punching, and in general trying to shake the truth, or their version of the truth at least, from the others. As they rolled closer and closer to the edge, one final blow sent a single (soon to be very dead) crewmember sailing over the edge into the vast emptiness of freefall...
<b>TheMuffinMan</b> was sitting alone on the beach, wondering where exactly he had gone wrong, how he had lost control of his crew, when the crushing *THUD* of an impact on the packed sands jolted him to his senses. The fluttering engraved 'kerchief was all that remained to identify the shattered corpse of <b><span style='color:red'>Legionnaired</span></b>. <i>"Well, that's one reason I suppose..."</i> thought <b>TheMuffinMan</b> to himself.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW DAY 4, POST AWAY</span>
"...well that's not good," whispered <b>CMEast</b> as the group of crewmates left standing on the cliff high above the beach peered over the ledge at the crumpled corpse of Legionnaired far below. People were swarming everywhere, trying to make sense of the situation, pointing in every direction, including directly at the group high above. <b>CMEast</b> thought to himself, <i>'Why, they look like they're...</i>
------------------------------------------
<i>'...mutineers,'</i> <b>Gwahir</b> finished his thought, <i>'And it looks like they got another one, Legionnaired this time. It's high time we put an end to this; enough with this pointless search for that God-forsaken treasure.'</i> <b>Gwahir</b> began jogging up the path that would lead him to the cliff where he had seen the tiny specks of men (and a single woman, but he didn't know that yet). "If any of you idiots want to stop gawking at that corpse and help me catch the culprits, follow me!" Immediately, most of the men gathered around stopped what they were doing (not much of anything, to be honest), and followed <b>Gwahir</b>'s command. At this point, they were desperate for any kind of leadership. <b>TheMuffinMan</b> had been inarticulate for the past few hours, and the death of Legionnaired right in front of him only made him slip deeper into the first stages of depression, and most likely shock. As the others quickly filed past him on his little rock of solitude, he barely lifted an eyelid in acknowledgement.
As they neared the location where <b>Gwahir</b> had seen the group high above, they were shocked to find them sitting on the ground and the (still bloody) rocks, waiting for them. <b>Mouse</b> was scratching persistently in various places all over his body, and it seemed <b>im lost</b> too was beginning to suffer from the same exposure-induced rash. He awkwardly stood up, and, in between bouts of scratching, addressed the crowd in front of him.
"No point in hiding, I suppose," said <b>im lost</b> with a sigh, "We killed Legionnaired. Well, <b>Quaunaut</b> and I killed him."
"I still say you gave him the final push."
"Oh, shut up, you know no one can believe either of us, so just shut up."
"But...why? Why did you kill him?" inquired <b>ZeroByte</b>.
<b>Breakthrough</b> volunteered an answer, "Well, from my perspective, our friend Legion was just a bit too sure of himself. He seemed to know far too much about the mutineer's activities, so it seemed a good bet that he was one of them. Of course, these two should have probably just knocked him out and brought him before the crew to explain himself...but that's not my call."
"Well, I for one am tired of all this bullcrap!" shouted <b>Gwahir</b>, "Our numbers are dwindling, and I don't suppose anyone here thinks they're bound to stop anytime soon. I say we just start killing or quarantining anyone even remotely connected to any further killings, and then sort this mess out from there."
"Um...that would probably mean about 3 people would have to lock up or kill the remaining 11, because almost all of us have been connected in some way with at least one killing," countered <b>Pulse</b>, "I mean, we all had the opportunity to do most of these acts. Blowing up the ship while we were all sleeping? Anyone at all could have done that. Killing people in their sleep? Once again, anyone at all. This rockslide thing, this may be a bit more narrow, but even if we just get one mutineer there's bound to be more alive, right?"
"I'm so done with this," said <b>Cyndane</b> as she clambered down from her rock where she had perched herself before Legionnaired was killed,"I'm going to search every nook and cranny of this island until I find that treasure, and if it's not there, I'll farking swim to the other islands and search until I find it. Between that and my distinct lack of testosterone, I should be able to wriggle my way onto the next passing ship, and get the heck away from all of this."
"Uh...buh...drr.......uhhhh...who....wha...." <b>Isamil</b> tried to find words to express his confusion. Inarticulate sounds suited his purpose nicely.
"Yes, it's a fact, for all the time you guys spent drooling over pictures in your cabins you couldn't see a girl standing amongst you. And now, that girl is going through you. Excuse me." <b>Cyndane</b> pushed past the crowd of crewmates, with <b>Gwahir</b> getting a final push from her as he stood there dumbfounded. His plan at trapping these people up here and finding out the truth had just been blown to bits by a pair of ti....
"Hey, wait for me," cried <b>CMEast</b>, "You still trust me right?"
"I never trusted you, but you can come if you can keep up."
This statement provoked an immense reaction from the rest of the men. They all surged at once down the narrow path, completely blowing past the still stupefied <b>Gwahir</b>. A single push that was a little harder than it really needed to be sent <b>Gwahir</b> flying back-first into the mountainside. A split-second after he hit, an burning well of pain ripped through <b>Gwahir</b>'s body. As he stared down in disbelief at the sharpened, spring-loaded rock spike that had been carefully concealed in the mountain wall, he let out a blood-curdling scream. The rest of the crew did a sudden about-face, but no sooner had they taken in the sight of their bleeding and petrified crewmate than <b><span style='color:red'>Gwahir</span></b> collapsed in a heap on the path, never to rise.
I'm still alive, that's good. What's even better is the fact that the psychopath is dead. So now we are down to one death a night, and the person that dies is basically a confirmed human. The psychopath must have been SaltzBad, brute force, or Legionnaired. Unfortunately, all three wolves are still alive.
Once again, nice story. Who shouted at CMEast at the end? Also, is anyone able to connect to gamesurge?

Comments
On the forum she has just made a few random votes and commented on the story. In IRC, her only twg-related statements were to say that she was the psychopath, supposedly joking.
Thats not all she has said in IRC but as I've yet to hear from either of the bit networks of 'humans' I don't know where to put my observations.
I know where my main suspicions fall but I certainly haven't received enough information to wage war on the supposed wolves. If someone could pm me with the details I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

Bit more than an hour left to go. You 3 might want to get your votes in quickly, ZeroByte especially; you've posted today, so there's really no excuse if you get a phantom.

However, I strongly suspect Gwahir. We should all vote for him (tomorrow) until he posts those logs he keeps talking about about publically.

I wish I can write more, but I'm out of time since the day is almost done.
Session Start: Tue Jun 07 00:53:23 2005
Session Ident: im_lost
[00:53] <Gwahir> can you confirm legion's statement that he spoke to you
[00:53] <im_lost> yes
[00:53] <Gwahir> ah, so you previously lied to me then
[00:54] <im_lost> yep
[00:54] <Gwahir> do you know who deep blue is?
[00:54] <im_lost> saying that i'm part of a network in the channel would be stupid, i think
[00:54] <im_lost> i'm going to make a post in the thread
[00:54] <Gwahir> you should have pmed me with the real data then. however I know you probably couldn't trust me.
[00:54] <Gwahir> I'll probably die tonight, too much of a nosy risk to the wolves
[01:00] <im_lost> are your suspicions of theslan based on the same reasoning as legionnaired, or is it something different?
[01:00] <Gwahir> different
[01:00] <Gwahir> legion strengthened feelings I had. I still don't trust you or legion
[01:00] <im_lost> that's fine, i wouldn't expect you to
[01:01] <Gwahir> I seem to have gained trust amongst players, but that makes me an easy target
[01:01] <im_lost> i actually expected you to come out with a post trying to completely rip apart everything legion said
[01:01] <Gwahir> I was going to
[01:02] <Gwahir> what made me change?
[01:02] <Gwahir> a couple things, one of which was mentioned in my post
[01:02] <Gwahir> I unfortunately find that both the innocent and guilty make illogical posts
[01:03] <Gwahir> but the guilty, in positions where they think they have a strong position, are less emotional
[01:03] <Gwahir> I read emotion in legion's post
[01:04] <Gwahir> more specifically, it's a smug calmness
[01:04] <Gwahir> lost?
[01:04] <Gwahir> when you're done laughing...
[01:05] <im_lost> i'm actually working on a vote tally, and hydrairc doesn't alert me to new messages in private conversation windows
[01:05] <Gwahir> ah
[01:05] <im_lost> done
[01:07] <Gwahir> your opinion?
[01:07] <im_lost> theslan contacted me during night 3 and asked what i thought of the situation
[01:08] <im_lost> i just told him that i hoped there was a network, and legionnaired was making too many assumptions in his post
[01:08] <im_lost> the first part was completely a lie, and the second part was actually true
[01:09] <Gwahir> you lied that you hoped there was a network?
[01:09] <im_lost> i knew there was a network, since i was in it
[01:09] <im_lost> which is a lot different than hoping that one exists
[01:09] <Gwahir> doesn't really make it a complete lie
[01:09] <Gwahir> according to older definitions, hope is certainty of something
[01:10] <Gwahir> but not real knowledge
[01:10] <Gwahir> so it's a little grey
[01:11] <Gwahir> but legion still has a logical flaw, a serious one
[01:11] <Gwahir> but that will show itself after one night
[01:12] <Gwahir> why is muffin not voiced?
[01:12] <im_lost> he isn't authed
[01:12] <Gwahir> ah
[01:13] <im_lost> theslan is reading, i wonder what he has to say
[01:13] <Gwahir> I'm dead aren't I
[01:13] <im_lost> i don't really know
[01:13] <im_lost> i honestly expected legion to be dead by now
[01:14] <Gwahir> you know, I kinda wondered what the gm would think of a human that decided to assist the wolves
[01:15] <im_lost> what you said earlier about wolves vs humans making logic-based posts, whether or not there is emotion, that's what makes sky so good as a wolf
[01:15] <im_lost> he has lots of emotion in his posts all the time
[01:15] <Gwahir> sky does?
[01:15] <Gwahir> this game that doesn't really matter
[01:15] <im_lost> of course not
[01:16] <im_lost> but the times when he has been a wolf, his defense posts were very convincing
[01:16] <Gwahir> but you didn't answer my question.
[01:16] <im_lost> which one?
[01:16] <Gwahir> you know, I kinda wondered what the gm would think of a human that decided to assist the wolves
[01:16] <im_lost> i don't know, and i can't see why it would happen, it would probably upset quite a few players
[01:17] <Gwahir> yeah, not to mention it wouldn't exactly be playing by the rules
[01:18] <im_lost> it might trigger a vote to determine if that person should be able to play in future games
[01:18] <im_lost> why do you bring it up?
[01:18] <Gwahir> just a thought that passed through my mind
[01:18] <Gwahir> out of curiosity, do you know who deep blue is? I won't ask who
[01:19] <im_lost> maybe
[01:19] <Gwahir> I won't ask who
[01:19] <im_lost> but i don't want to answer the first part
[01:19] <Gwahir> the out of curiosity part?
[01:20] <im_lost> whether or not i know who deep blue is
[01:20] <Gwahir> why not, what difference does it make to you?
[01:20] <im_lost> i'm not sure if i can trust you, and i don't feel like giving out that information
[01:21] <Gwahir> but really, I have no idea who deep blue is
[01:21] <Gwahir> and you knowing who it is or not does not change my knowledge of who deep blue is
[01:21] <im_lost> it could change your perspective of how important i am to the network
[01:22] <Gwahir> are you saying you're important?
[01:22] <im_lost> i'm saying if you were a wolf, that's what you would want to find out
[01:22] <im_lost> since you would assume i wouldn't tell you who deep blue is
[01:23] <Gwahir> I would assume any sane person not to tell me who the psychic is unless they found they could trust me
[01:23] <Gwahir> it makes you more trustworth that you are unwilling to tell me who
[01:26] <Gwahir> give me a better reason why you are unwilling to tell me yes or no
[01:27] <im_lost> i gave you my reason, that's all there is to it
[01:27] <Gwahir> remind me of that reason in simple terms, I'm slow
[01:28] <im_lost> [22:26] <im_lost> i'm saying if you were a wolf, that's what you would want to find out
[01:28] <im_lost> [22:26] <im_lost> since you would assume i wouldn't tell you who deep blue is
[01:28] <im_lost> your previous message was supposed to be in there also
[01:28] <Gwahir> okay then, explain to me why that's what a wolf would want to know
[01:28] <im_lost> to figure out who to kill in the network
[01:29] <Gwahir> look, I seriously doubt you're the psychic
[01:29] <Gwahir> if I were legion, and legit I would keep that info safe under the name of deep blue
[01:29] <Gwahir> if I were legion and a wolf you are my buddy and also a wolf
[01:29] <Gwahir> and you would not be listed in that case either
[01:30] <Gwahir> is deep blue a nonentity?
[01:30] <Gwahir> well, to use proper language, a figment?
[01:31] <im_lost> deep blue exists, and i guess it can't hurt to tell you after thinking about it, i know who deep blue is
[01:31] <Gwahir> I see.
[01:31] <Gwahir> so when did legion or deep blue tell you
[01:31] <im_lost> theslan posted
[01:32] <Gwahir> he has good points
[01:33] <Gwahir> my vote stands for now, however
[01:33] <Gwahir> so when did legion or deep blue tell you
[01:34] <im_lost> does it matter?
[01:34] <Gwahir> yep
[01:34] <im_lost> why does it matter?
[01:35] <Gwahir> I'm forming a general timeline of events, it'll help me figure things out
[01:38] <Gwahir> who are you talking to?
[01:40] <Gwahir> 6 minutes without another word from you... what's up?
[01:41] <im_lost> i'm not talking with anyone actually, just considering if i actually want to answer
[01:41] <im_lost> and i don't think i want to
[01:41] <Gwahir> could you give me a reason on that?
[01:41] <Gwahir> I know this feels probing
[01:41] <Gwahir> but I'm just trying to work things out
[01:42] <im_lost> for me, it seems like telling you one thing will allow you to figure out more than that, and i don't trust you enough for that to happen
[01:42] <Gwahir> Is there any way I can prove I'm a human
[01:42] <Gwahir> and do you really think that I'm that intelligent?
[01:43] <im_lost> 1: probably not; 2: if you're a wolf, only one person in the group needs to be able to connect the dots
[01:43] <Gwahir> so you think this is a series of clandestine interviews that are being worked to determine who has the important roles?
[01:43] <im_lost> i don't know
[01:44] <im_lost> the only person i'm confident is a wolf right now is quaunaut, leaving two unknowns
[01:44] <Gwahir> I swear on my honor that you are the first I've talked to in a pm
[01:44] <Gwahir> at least in this game
[01:44] <im_lost> legion's argument makes some sense about theslan and petco, but it could easily be wrong
[01:44] <Gwahir> yes it could
[01:45] <Gwahir> there is a serious logical flaw that I'm trying to resolve
[01:45] <Gwahir> Legion constructed this network right? so isn't he in a good position to extract data from people by gaining their trust?
[01:46] <im_lost> true
[01:47] <Gwahir> making himself the public figure puts a damper in that theory though
[01:47] <Gwahir> help me figure it out
[01:47] <im_lost> i'm not going to explain why, but i am very sure that legion is a human, and no, i'm not the seer
[01:47] <Gwahir> I know you're not the seer
[01:48] <Gwahir> I have a theory about who the seer is
[01:48] <Gwahir> hardly conclusive, a guess at best
[01:48] <Gwahir> if you can convince me legion is human, that's one less person for me to worry about
[01:49] <im_lost> for me to convince you, you would have to trust me, and i would have to tell you a lot more than what i am willing to tell you
[01:49] <Gwahir> fair enough
[01:50] <Gwahir> but how about that timeline data? when did you discover the identity of the psychic?
[01:50] <Gwahir> you yourself thought it wouldn't make a difference
[01:50] <Gwahir> I just feel I could create a chain later in the game, hope I survive
[01:51] <Gwahir> need to use the restroom, be right back
[01:51] <im_lost> i didn't say i didn't think it would make a difference, i was trying to figure out what you hoped to accomplish by asking
[01:52] <Gwahir> okay, different question, this one aimed at determining urgency and qua's status, does qua know who deep blue is?
[01:54] <im_lost> that's the most confusing part for me, actually
[01:55] <im_lost> i think he knew earlier, but then i don't know why deep blue is still alive
[01:55] <Gwahir> logical flaw number 2
[01:56] <Gwahir> were you all told at the same time then?
[01:58] <im_lost> not really, not everyone knew who deep blue was at all, and there wasn't any direct communication between most of us
[01:58] <Gwahir> legion kept you on a tight leash then?
[01:59] <Gwahir> please tell me you talked to other members in the network to determine validity on your own
[02:00] <im_lost> no, out of my own choice of just being too lazy
[02:00] <im_lost> if legion was a wolf, deep blue should be dead
[02:00] <Gwahir> that I can understand
[02:00] <Gwahir> if deep blue is real...
[02:01] <Gwahir> that is, if deep blue really is the psychic
[02:02] <Gwahir> wow, I'm pulling so much intrigue into this I should write a bad novel
[02:02] <im_lost> at least there's a good chance that both roles are alive, since i'm pretty sure i know the psychic and you think you might know who the seer is
[02:05] <Gwahir> if you're right on all counts, qua is no wolf
[02:10] <Gwahir> thoughts?
[02:11] <im_lost> i certainly see how that could be, but for now my vote is staying on quaunaut
[02:12] <Gwahir> well, you make my job difficult, tell me when you trust me more.
[02:12] <Gwahir> ask whoever you want whatever you want about me
[02:12] <im_lost> i'll keep that in mind
[02:13] <Gwahir> one more thing, do you know just when qua was told of deep blue's identity?
[02:14] <im_lost> no i don't
[02:15] <Gwahir> but you thought that he was told earlier...
[02:15] <im_lost> to be honest, the only thing i know about that is what legion told me
[02:16] <Gwahir> k
[02:16] <Gwahir> thanks
[02:17] <im_lost> quaunaut saw the thread earlier, and is on the forums, he chose not to respond
[02:17] <im_lost> or was on long enough to make several posts, at least
Session Close: Tue Jun 07 02:20:50 2005

As far as the status on the "network" that Legion mentioned. As far as I know, the only involvement that Saltz and Comprox had was receiving a PM from Legion with my anonymous psychic screen name. I haven't talked to Quaunaut at all this game.
The last psychic report I got said there are three wolves left. Since several people have been confused about this, the number DOES NOT include the psychopath, so it means that none of the wolves have died.

<b>I'll need pms from any roles left alive. The psychic, if alive, will get his pm shortly.
Night 4 ends Thursday at 4:45PM EST/ 9:45PM GMT</b>

I liked my death, good ending for me.
I can edit now since I get one post and I have not given any info.
Once again, nice story. Who shouted at CMEast at the end? Also, is anyone able to connect to gamesurge?

I felt the comedy was broken when I added a name, so just assume it's everyone. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
