I honestly haven't been paying much attention over the last day or two (visiting family etc.). I'm gonna vote for myself until I figure out a better vote.

All that aside, I think it was more just the general tone of your post that got me suspicious. A shot in the dark is all.
Now, it's probably too early to tip my hand, but I think I have enough people figured out that I can set up the beginning of a network if I get wolfed or psychoed. So, the following is for the good of the many. Read closely.
I got a message a few days ago on AIM, from an anonymous screen-name, we'll call him Deep Blue.
The log is as follows:
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Session Start (Legionnaired:Deep Blue): Fri Jun 03 00:05:42 2005 [00:05] Deep Blue: 3 wolves remaining [00:06] Legionnaired: Alright then. Can I contact you on this screen-name in the future? [00:07] Deep Blue: sure [00:07] Deep Blue: next time you ask for an email, provide an email address, just fyi [00:07] Legionnaired: Could have sworn I did. This happened before I posted that I had not been contacted; I lied to attempt to draw out a false psychic. None have cropped up, even after I posted that I hadn't been contacted and was hoping expectantly that we hadn't lost the psychic already.
There are a number of possibilities here:
1) This is the real psychic. 2) This is a human, faking to be the psychic to test my motives. 3) This is a wolf, trying to get me to kill off those connected to Xentor and Cheetah. 4) This is a psychopath, trying to confuse me.
So, if this is the real psychic, then I'll die next round, no question. And, five or six people will be in contact with the psychic, and each other, and a network will start.
If I DON'T die next round then either of the following are true: 1) The wolves see me as more powerful in death than life, or: 2) The wolves are feeding me this information to confuse people.
In one case, I'm the most important human there is; in the other, I'm the wolves' greatest asset. So there, there is now no middle ground with me right now.
Let the fun begin. I change my vote to myself, <b>Legionnaired.</b>
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->1) This is the real psychic. 2) This is a human, faking to be the psychic to test my motives. 3) This is a wolf, trying to get me to kill off those connected to Xentor and Cheetah. 4) This is a psychopath, trying to confuse me.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Each of those are just as likely, so it is best to put no stock in 'deep blue'.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->So, if this is the real psychic, then I'll die next round, no question. Could you explain that? Why would you be any more of a threat to the wolves/psycho than the rest of us? Also, how will you dying cause five or six people to suddenly get in contact with the real psychic and start a network?
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->If I DON'T die next round then either of the following are true: 1) The wolves see me as more powerful in death than life, or: 2) The wolves are feeding me this information to confuse people. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Or the wolves can think of a better target to go for.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->In one case, I'm the most important human there is; in the other, I'm the wolves' greatest asset. I don't understand this either. What makes you 'the most important human that there is'? What about the seer or the psychic, and the people who are actually in contact with them. The guy pmed you anonymously, so you have no idea who he is. You just posted your log in public, so unless you are hiding something pretty big, i see no advantage that you would have over anyone else. This 'deep blue' could easily contact anyone else and tell them the same thing, or a different thing.
I also fail to see how you are 'the wolves greatest asset'. An anonymous person pmed you and told you that there are still 3 wolves alive. That was pretty obvious anyway, to be brutally honest. Unless you know a hell of a lot more than you are showing us, i really don't see how you are a great asset to the wolves.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Let the fun begin. I change my vote to myself, Legionnaired.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Why vote for yourself? If you are, indeed, the most vital and important human player in this game, wouldn't it be in your best interest to not draw attention to yourself?
I'll keep my vote where it is, as i don't really understand what Legionnaired is trying to do.
I sent out a batch of PMs last night, a network has been set up.
In addition, after the post last night I had a nice long conversation with Deep Blue, and now have a PM in my inbox from a certain player who told me the screenname he/she'd been contacting me with.
I have significant reason to believe the person in question is who he/she says he/she is.
So lets look at the facts:
1) There now exists a network that includes the Psychic. 2) I have direct contact with the Psychic, and I alone know his identity.
Thus, if I die, then the wolves are NOT playing me; Deep Blue is the real Psychic, and the people who have contact with DB have a network set up with the Psychic.
If I don't die, then either: 1) Deep Blue is a wolf, and is playing me. (Probably not, since he/she told me last night who he/she was.) 2) The wolves realize they can't kill me, because they know that by doing so the network will solidify.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW NIGHT 3, NO POSTING</span>
For the second night in a row, the crew awoke with a start, but there was little confusion this time. A quick glance over the cliff revealed <u>exactly</u> what had woken them up. <b>CMEast</b> was the first to break the silence, “...Well that’s not good.” It was only after a thrice-repeated headcount that the loss of Xentor and Cheetah was discovered. Given the past 48 hours, the crew was quick to acknowledge that they were most likely dead.
That’s not to say that this realization went over well with the men . They had been borderline-panicking yesterday, and it seemed that they were about to take a running leap over that borderline in a few minutes. Muffled murmurings and mutterings could be heard sporadically from groups scattered around the rock, each wondering what the others were up to.
<b>Comprox</b> noticed a few shifty looks being turned his way. <i>’Silence is going to kill me,’</i> he thought to himself. <i>’Time to do this thing.’</i> He jumped on top of a rock, and turning to face the crowd, leveled his finger at <b>Breakthrough</b>.
“You. You did this. You've always been jealous of <b>TheMuffinMan</b>, so you decided to stage a mutiny. No one's been watching you, because you're our dear Officer <b>Breakthrough</b>, always friendly, always understanding. I say you've been plotting. You have the motive and the opportunity, and..."
"Now hold on!" yelled <b>CMEast</b> from below, "Your record is not exactly clean, <b>Comprox</b>. Are we all forgetting the fact that you flat out <u>murdered</u> Condizzle in cold blood? If we're looking for suspicious activity, you're the place to start."
"We all knew he was dangerous. He was raving, accusing everybody! Even if he wasn't in on the mutiny, he wasn't exactly helping us."
"We coulda just put him in the hold until he calmed down."
"What, the hold that is NOW A SEARING FIREBALL!"
Red-faced and out of breath, and exhausted from lack of proper sleep, <b>Comprox</b> slumped into a ball on top of his rock. When he gathered the strength to lift his head, he saw the crowd of men all around him. <b>ZeroByte</b> was in the center of his vision, and his icy stare ran shivers down <b>Comprox</b>'s spine.
"You killed a crewmate for baseless accusations, yet you do the same now. On top of which, you accused a fellow officer who I have known for years. <b>Comprox</b>, we've lost trust in you. Goodbye." And with that, four pairs of hands flung <b><span style='color:red'>Comprox</span></b> from his perch on the rock, down to the still-smoldering ship below. The impact of his limp body on the gutted vessel was too much for it to bear; the charred and splintered wood cracked, and the once proud sailing ship slipped quietly into the depths of the bay.
"...Well, that's not good." breathed <b>CMEast</b>.
<b>Night 3 will end Monday at 4PM EST / 9PM GMT</b>
I'll need pms from any special roles left alive. The psychic (if alive) will get his pm shortly.
<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT IS NOW DAY 3, POST AWAY</span>
The group of men stood on the ledge overlooking the spot where their ship had sunk, wondering what to do now.
<b>TheMuffinMan</b>, who had been standing at the far end of the group during their gruesome killing of Comprox, cleared his throat.
"Well mates, it seems the only way we're ever going to get off this island is to bribe a passing ship's captain to take us aboard. I know I didn't bring any pocketchange off the ship, so it seems like we'll be needing to find that loot, one way or another."
Grumblings and mutterings erupted from the group. <b>Quaunaut</b> spoke up, "I'm done with this band, I'm off to find this bloody treasure myself. Anyone who trusts me can come with me. I suggest we all do the same; crewmates or not, and looking at the last few days, I'm thinking there's no way I can trust most of you people, and I think I'm not alone thinking this."
"But <b>Quaunaut</b>, what about those raiders that attacked us?" cried <b>Breakthrough</b>.
"At this point, they've killed fewer of us than we have, so I'll take my chances with them, thank you."
As <b>Quaunaut</b> stalked off to who-knows-where (<b>EMPDemon</b> and <b>im lost</b> in hurried pursuit), groups of men started breaking off in all directions. Some down the mountain, supposedly to look for the life-saving treasure. Others saw them going down the mountain...and decided the safest path would be in the completely opposite direction. That is how <b>Cyndane, SaltzBad, and CMEast</b> found themselves alone at the top of the volcano, staring down into the hot but solid caldera below.
"Well, I feel safer now," sighed <b>CMEast</b>.
"And why's that?" asked <b>Cyndane</b>.
"Because I know I'm not a murderous mutineer, and they all had to have gone off together, so that means I can trust you two."
"Hah, as if they would be so easily found out," scoffed <b>SaltzBad</b>.
"Eh?"
"Trust me, they are definitely NOT together right now. They're not that stupid."
"So...how can I trust you?"
"Well, I don't know about trusting <b>SaltzBad</b>, but personally, I have bigger secrets to hide," said <b>Cyndane</b>.
"Oh, like what?" Cyndane pulled off his headband, revealing....her?....flowing black hair. "....oh. Well, that's interesting."
"Hehe, that all you got to say?"
"I could think of a number of things to say, but I also know most of them would get me thrown off of this mountain, so I'll just shut up and let <b>SaltzBad</b> do the talking."
<b>SaltzBad</b> looked - a bit too long - at <b>Cyndane</b> as she loosened the strap under her shirt that had held her chest down for so many months. "So, why exactly did you do this?"
"Oh, the normal reasons I suppose. Debts back home, no family support, no open jobs, no way of getting on a ship as a girl, etc. It wasn't that hard to hide; no one was looking for a girl on their ship to begin with. Well, no one was looking at their crewmates looking for a girl, at least. But, that's a long story. I think there are better things to talk about, and better places to do it. Shall we take a walk, gentlemen; it's rather windy up here." As the group started down the mountain, a single pair of eyes watched them from the darkness.
-----------------------------------------
A ways down the mountain, almost directly under the path <b>Cyndane, SaltzBad, and CMEast</b> were walking along, <b>Mouse, brute_force, and Theslan</b> were in the middle of a heated argument.
"I'm tellin' ya, we got our man. Comprox is dead, what are you two worried about still?" <b>Mouse</b> turned to <b>Theslan</b>, "He killed Condizzle right in front of our eyes, and you're saying you don't think he was our man?"
"All I'm saying is that there were probably more than one mutineer. Like <b>TheMuffinMan</b> said, dogs don't work alone. Or something like that. Sleep deprivation takes your memory first, ya know."
"Great, we're trying to rout a traitor, and our memories are fuzzy. That's just perfect." muttered <b>brute_force</b>.
"Well, it's not as bad as all that. At least now we know who to trust, even if we don't know who NOT to trust. And I trust you guys." <b>Theslan</b> put his arms around the other two, in a manly sort of way, of course.
<b>brute_force</b> brushed him off. "None of that, thank you very much. I may have trusted you enough to come with you, but don't think that means I'll sleep easily tonight."
"Suit yourself." <b>Theslan</b> caught a glimmer of something out of the corner of his eye from far up on the rocks above. He quickly put it out of his mind.
------------------------------------------
<b>SaltzBad</b> was walking along with his chosen group of "friends", half listening to their discussion on who they should trust and who they should leave to rot on the island. It reminded him too much of childish bickering and rumor-mongering to be of any real interest to him, but of course appearances must be maintained.
His eyes wandered over the landscape, among other things, until they caught sight of what seemed to be a shadowy figure, standing high above them near the summit of the volcano. That wasn't what worried <b>SaltzBad</b>. He was more concerned with the precarious-looking pile of rocks sitting next to the figure. <i>'No, not...</i> was all <b>SaltzBad</b> had time to think before the crack of a small explosive sent the first of the rocks tumbling down the mountainside, headed straight for the group.
------------------------------------------
<b>brute_force</b>'s ears perked at the crack of the explosion. "Did you guys hear that?" he asked, looking around in every direction...and finally turning his direction upwards, "Oh, shi-"
------------------------------------------
"-t. Run!" screamed <b>CMEast</b>, but the group had only enough time to separate a few feet before the first of the rocks hit. Due either to the forces of chaos theory or godly prediction skills by the unknown figure watching from above, the rocks completely missed <b>CMEast</b> and <b>Cyndane</b>, only to land on the hapless <span style='color:red'><b>SaltzBad</b></span> with a sickening crunch. Of course, there's no way that the same figure could have planned on those very same rocks continuing down on the dumb-founded head of <b>brute_force</b> below. Or could he? Physics aside, rocks crush people aimed or not, and they did a fine job on <span style='color:red'><b>brute_force</b></span>'s head, spine, organs, and other assorted bits and pieces that were now crushed into more of a liquid paste than anything else.
As the two groups visually scoured the shadows above for the mysterious figure, they realized that he had escaped as quickly as he had appeared. It was CMEast who, again, was the first to speak,
I guess it would be good to look at possible reasons for those deaths. SaltzBad pointed out that he wasn't doing anything crazy this game, because no one would believe him if he did. Unless he spoke to the wrong people through pm, there isn't much reason that can be found in that death.
On to brute force. There was a discussion yesterday about Legionnaired and his posts saying he was forming a network. Gwahir seemed to be sure that brute force was hiding something. That doesn't mean that Gwahir decided to kill him, anyone in the channel (the 7 of us talking, or any of the idle people) could have been a wolf and decided to kill someone in the network. Why wouldn't they kill Legionnaired instead? Maybe they feared it would confirm his story. Maybe someone else can get more out of that line of thought than me, or find better reasoning.
On a more serious note, it's obvious that the psychopath is still alive. However, we still don't know if one of the wolves are killed, except through Legionarie's proclaimation that there were 3 before the last 3 deaths.
I can't say I'm surprised at Saltzbad's killing. It's pretty much expected, especially after last game, that he was going to pull something off. However, there seems to be no connection between the rest of the killing, unless you take Saltzbad's vote (voted for cheetah round 1, voted for himself round 2) which seems VERY silly to connect the two deaths.
I think either the psychopath or wolves panicked and decided to waste one of their nights to kill off Saltzbad, unless... he was connected in some way. On that, I have no clue.
Brute_force's death also seems quite unusual. Like Cheetah before, I have no clue why he died. It seems to me he was chosen randomly, with a very weak assumption people would vote for Muffinman. That's the only connection I see so far.
I put my vote on CMEast far too long now. So my random vote will have to go to <b>im lost</b> because he voted first. Weak reasoning, I know, but right now I have no clue on the killings. Perhaps someone can figure this mess out?
As usual, if someone acts very suspicious, I'll move my vote on him/her. This vote is by no means my final vote.
But if brute_force's death is related to me, it's in one of two ways:
1. the wolves/psycho were banking on my suspicions about brute_force and thought that he might be the pyschic or the seer
2. my pseudo-accusations make it easy to pin brute_force's death on me.
Of course there is another possibility...
Brute force might've been a wolf killed by the psychopath, or saltzbad was the wolf. Perhaps both parties targetted the same person or a wolf or the psychopath was targetted directly. If any of these are true it will show itself after another night.
At this point, I have no opinions as to who should die tonight.
Someone confirm for me that breakthrough's bold on muffin was for emphasis and not a vote. If it was a vote, I'll stick with breakthrough. Mainly because of his later support for muffin.

Not giving away what role you're playing, or not playing over multiple rounds would be the idea of playing TWG. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Regardless, I've actually been passive this game (in comparison to last round), because I simpy know noone would go along with another gambit from me. Reports of me being erratic are a bit overblown - I've voted for myself twice, to avoid phantom votes. For Cheetah once, based on mild suspicion.
And <b>Legionaired</b> constructed my first post as a defense of both arguing partys, which is plenty suspicious in its own right. He probably just wanted to get an excuse to compare me to HAL 9000 again, but I don't have anything better to go on. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Dude come on, you have to admit, there's a striking resemblance in your vocals. Anyone who'se heard you command will say the same <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Session Start (Legionnaired:Deep Blue): Fri Jun 03 00:05:42 2005
[00:05] Deep Blue: 3 wolves remaining
[00:06] Legionnaired: Alright then. Is there any way you can verify that without endangering yourself?
[00:06] Deep Blue: not really
[00:06] Legionnaired: Any way I can earn your trust?
[00:06] Deep Blue: if no one else contacts you, then you can probably trust the information
[00:07] Deep Blue: not that i can think of
[00:07] Legionnaired: That's true. Can I contact you on this screen-name in the future?
[00:07] Deep Blue: sure
[00:07] Deep Blue: next time you ask for an email, provide an email address, just fyi
[00:07] Legionnaired: Could have sworn I did.

[00:08] Deep Blue: ok
Session Close (pm @ hic): Fri Jun 03 00:47:24 2005<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
If I DON'T die next round then either of the following are true:
1) The wolves see me as more powerful in death than life, or:
2) The wolves are feeding me this information to confuse people.
In one case, I'm the most important human there is; in the other, I'm the wolves' greatest asset. So there, there is now no middle ground with me right now.
Let the fun begin. I change my vote to myself, <b>Legionnaired.</b>
2) This is a human, faking to be the psychic to test my motives.

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->If I DON'T die next round then either of the following are true:

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Let the fun begin. I change my vote to myself, Legionnaired.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Why vote for yourself? If you are, indeed, the most vital and important human player in this game, wouldn't it be in your best interest to not draw attention to yourself?
I'll keep my vote where it is, as i don't really understand what Legionnaired is trying to do.
If I don't die, then either:
1) Deep Blue is a wolf, and is playing me. (Probably not, since he/she told me last night who he/she was.)
2) The wolves realize they can't kill me, because they know that by doing so the network will solidify.
Either way, now the wolves are boned.

15 minutes left
It was CMEast who, again, was the first to speak,
"...Well that's not good."

Day 3 will end Wednesday at 3PM EST / 5PM GMT
On to brute force. There was a discussion yesterday about Legionnaired and his posts saying he was forming a network. Gwahir seemed to be sure that brute force was hiding something. That doesn't mean that Gwahir decided to kill him, anyone in the channel (the 7 of us talking, or any of the idle people) could have been a wolf and decided to kill someone in the network. Why wouldn't they kill Legionnaired instead? Maybe they feared it would confirm his story. Maybe someone else can get more out of that line of thought than me, or find better reasoning.
Mainly because of his later support for muffin.
...Wow, I am really dumb. "Holding my vote also..." I meant to hold my vote - I bolded TheMuffinMan because I was making a refrence to him...
Sorry for the slip-up, I'm changing my vote to <b>No Vote</b> for now.
