1000 concurrent players. That's gonna be something like 10,000 unique players daily. -

The problem with regen, at least for Fade, is that it's only good if the marines aren't very good shots or if it's an easy match and you don't ever really have to get into those tight spots. But if that's the case, then it doesn't … -
More like 600 000.

So ~10 dudes bumping this thread and 49 signatures in an Internet petition (what the christ?) are now the rule? Eh, whatever. I'm starting to think that the outlining shaders are just not working correctly for some people since I c… -
I seriously don't get you people. I really don't. The "new" default vision is just as good for tracking marines as the old alien vision was and the "new" alien vision is better in darkness than the default vision. How have you not realized th…

I don't remember signing that.
It's awesome that there's gonna be a fix for a problem SOME members of the community are having but I haven't really noticed it personally. So tone down the hyperbole.

So I guess it's not physically possible to make a joke on the Internet that's obvious enough for everyone. -
Well I got some good news for you: build 257 is up so you don't have to play b256 anymore!

I'm pretty sure it's you. I wouldn't exactly call Quake or Unreal Tournament "teamwork heavy" games. I can't remember any games requirin… -

Why would they spend 90% of development time to fix something that only affects that 10% (at the worst) of all users who are running obsolete software? Be reasonable. -
I've always been horrible against strafejumping marines since NS1, but I don't have a problem with them in this build. Go figure. Yes I get killed by good marines quite regularly but that's not what a problem means. Do people not realize walljumping…

What the... People these days. You should never play anything that has a cursor or a crosshair with a controller, just as you should never play driving games or something like Arkham Asylum on a keyboard. That's just... ugh. -

Athlon 64 was released exactly 10 years ago next week and 4GB of DDR3 is maybe $25.

They did a NS2/Overgrowth pre-order bundle in, uh, 2010 I guess, where you got both games for the price of one. That was actually (I think) the first bundle Wolfire Games organized and then a few months later they did the first Humble Indie Bundle a…

For Core i3-540? Ehh maybe in NS2, but not generally. HD 7770 and GTX 650 are ~110€ in my region, that's the lowest I would go when buying a new card, anything less than that just isn't worth it. And 20-30€ more for a GTX 650 Ti or a 7850 1GB sounds…

The keybindings are stored in the Steam Cloud and locally in Steam\userdata\[userid]\4920\remote\options.xml. You could try disabling the cloud support and then deleting that file (will reset all of your settings). Or just open it in an editor and s…

I don't think it's possible in-game. Especially as raw input should mean that all the mouse inputs are read directly from the driver/Windows. What mouse do you have? If it has its own control panel there might be an option.
That's intere… -

People really don't have much patience for these sort of issues these days -- afterall there are dozens of other free games they could try at any point, in addition to the dozens or hundreds of games on their Steam account they hav… -
Slightly related: if you've bought other things via the Humble store, you can create an account with them and 'claim' all the stuff you've bought with the same e-mail address. So in the future you can always access all of your content from the Humbl…

By the way, if they're going to implement some hardware physics effects, wouldn't it be better to use DirectCompute or OpenCL or something? Or is it too much work? Using PhysX cuts out 40% of all users plus everyone on Linux.

Yeah that's pretty much all of us forum nerds I guess. I rarely see any badges here other than Shadow or Onos. Are there even any PhysX effects/code in the game?
