You can't really call a mod no longer working a "bug". Mods break when games update, that's not a problem exclusive to Subnautica. It's up to the mod developers to fix it on their end. -
Glad you're fixing that stuff immediately instead of bundling it in with huge updates that won't come out for a month. You guys remain the most thoughtful, underrated dev team I know of!

Exactly! I felt the same about people who bashed Skyrim: Special Edition solely on the reasoning that "we already had mods for that". So? Now you have it in the base game, and it performs BETTER than your modded version.

Yeah, I'm a victim of the black hole waterproof lockers too. My guess? Somehow the new Trashcan mechanics are being used by them.
I heard people had similar issues with the luggage bags you can find on the Aurora. -
Personally I don't really get horrible lag unless I'm trying to continue a save from a previous version. That and in mushroom forests, but I'm certain that's already a known issue.
Also with massive seabases. It helps to build up and down more… -
I like to give my vehicles organic colors, and sometimes I base them off of ingame creatures.
For instance, in my old save I had a white, red and black Seamoth that I named "Reaper". And in my most recent game, I made my Cyclops cyan with yell… -

What if the markers shrank and shifted toward the top or bottom of the compass to represent depth? It wouldn't be an exact measurement, but you could easily tell when something is above or below you.
Also, as far as the… -
That all does make sense, but keep in mind I'm simply suggestion an extra option, not a replacement! So anyone who switches to compass markers only, without using world markers as well, and gets confused in the deep only has themselves to blame in t…

It's a good idea for the Crabsnake and maybe other things like Crabsquids, but it won't fix things like the Reapers spawning in the Safe Shallows, because they're mostly surface-dwellers anyway.

I could finally build an ominous monolith atop the Aurora! You have my vote.

The idea reminds me a lot of Borderlands, which is kinda why I don't think it would fit too well in the game in exactly the way you described it.
Maybe instead of just straight-up giving you items every time, there's a bit more immersion/lore … -
If you look on the wiki page for the Cyclops, you can see that there's actually a Cyclops wreck that's planned to be implemented for when your Cyclops takes just a bit too much of a beating. Maybe they could use the same model?
in A CYCLOPS?!?!?! Comment by Crawmak March 2017 -
I built my base in the Grassy Plateaus once recently, and kept getting holes and flooding in my base even though I had plenty of reinforcements.
Eventually I came to learn that my base was being bombarded 24/7 by nearby Tiger Plants. I had to … -
Fabricator > Sustenance > Food > Lantern Fruit + Bulbo Tree Sample + Snack > Trail Mix!

Everyone else has already said how I feel about the human remains thing; I think it would take Subnautica's mysterious, creepy atmosphere and turn it into something more horror-esque, which, at least for me, definitely wouldn't fly.
As far as … -
As far as the plants go, there's not really a problem with them rotting when you get back to your base. You can just plant the rotten fruit and grow fresh in your base/cyclops!
But I do agree that they shouldn't rot quite so fast. I know the i… -
I eventually just stopped picking up the gold and left it on the seafloor because I already had half a glass locker full of the crap.
Obviously I feel like either the ratio needs to be changed, or a lot more uses for gold need to be added.
(Quote) Hey, each lifepod has 2 seats, including the one you're in. It could simply be a co-op experience.

That's not a bad idea, but I didn't have an titanium on me at the time. I clear my inventory of non-essentials before every expedition!(Quote)
Wow. I wonder if you could've kept scanning it for infinite titanium?First thing that comes to mind for me is hard drive speed. If the HDD in your laptop is crappy and slow, it won't write and transfer files very fast, which will limit savegame creation speed, as well as general loading speeds in pretty much any game…I agree that the SI system is easy to get around, but I don't exactly agree with your methods of fixing it. Adding random events to just suddenly break your crap isn't really difficulty, it's artificial difficulty. A nuisance.
One could simply…With the compact aesthetic Subnautica has going on with how the fabricator and modification station fold out, this would fit really well.
The walls of multipurpose rooms are probably thick enough to fit one too.Eh, personally I don't think character customization needs to be a thing. If the game was co-op or multiplayer then I could see it, but as it is, I kinda like the character being his own person.
Third person would be interesting, but I'm not s…The floating junk will temporarily disappear if you save, quit, and reload. It's a temporary fix, because it'll reappear in a different location eventually, but it'll help if the floating junk is floating very low, and potentially in your base. That…Like everyone else has said, a lot of it is just a lack of optimization. It's still early access, so it's to be expected, y'know?
But honestly, the last update helped immensely with me. I have a pretty decent rig (I would have once called it h…I don't usually go huge, but I'd call my bases sizeable.
One main room for fabricators, chargers, and storage.
Two, two-story rooms for alien containment.
One "bedroom" with a bed, water filtration machine and excessive decorations…
