Antiquated engine?
Is Subnautica not using the current engine builds of Unity which has more developer support than any other engine in the market?

Considering every base I've built so far has two next to each other with hallways... I beg to differ. When My seamoth is docked... I need a second to dock my prawn. And vice versa. To get out, and juggle docking, is just asinine.(Quote)
Oh... OH.... now theres a wicked idea hah! Although we would need a secondary exit point on the cyclops for that. A bridge level door 'hatch' you can use.Everything my scanner room finds, is directly below me for miles no matter where I go(Quote)
Hmm good idea.........Self portrait. I didn't do any creative searching for something specific. If I could turn beacons on/off, I would leave a beacon at every wreck I find, just as a local marker by the door saying 'oh, i've cleared this one'. I just cant use them right now, as the screen becomes this cluttered mess of beacons I cannot turn o…Yeah, just a double-wide would be great to have. But if the code allows... allow someone to go nuts and make a huge bay of many more if they so desire. I might only ever reach 3 wide in any given base though... unless I'm wanting to waste resources …Hm. I generally would not care if not for:
I had all my 'signals' stored in it..... could be eliminated if data signals were simply stored in the PDA somewhere other than 'inventory' items.
I used its blinking icon to denote …(Quote)
I'd get behind that.
I'd love for many more 'upgrades' to modules. Even if they only do a little bit more than normal... its still an upgrade!I'm not sure. I mean, it seems the game goes out of its way to figure out when to connect two ports, I would think it be a matter of toggling that on or off. Not like the outsides of two ports bump into each other... especially with the multi-rooms …Normally when I'm pinging a sonar, I'm looking for something!
I've noticed a lot of 'empty ground' though, like whoever was painting that particular area was being a bit lazy about filling in the voids. So theres lots of inaccessible inn…(Quote)
Then why do large hunks of metal on the landscape "vanish from visual sight" when I ping the sonar? I would think it light up like a christmass tree.Hmm, I guess I didn't notice it draining battery more. Maybe I should stop habitually pressing my mouse button then? LOL.
I honestly wish the 'wireframe' would just stay up twice as long so it doesnt actually vanish between pings. But th…(Quote)
What kind of ISP/internet connection do you have?
For me on my low DSL, it would take me 1 hour total for a full reinstall.
EDIT: nevermind, read the last bit on your original post... you have no internet! S…(Quote)
Oh, so an initial attempt at a feature that was just left behind in lieu of a better version of the code? I've done that in my code too ... lol.I thought that was the Seaglide.
Which works just great for me, I use it in all tunnel/wreck exploring. Its a comb of flashlight, and fast moving (in all directions).
Is this 'powerglide' some sort of 'sideways motion only' d…Wondering if it has to do something with the first time you actually go to use the feature. Had you used the pda screenshot feature ever before this occurred?
For me it was, but then I just started the game not too long ago, so everythin…When I first began the game, my screenshots in the PDA were bugged out too. First, it didn't show new shots at all. Then the ONE shot it had in there, I couldnt delete for the life of me.
Then suddenly... it sorted itself out. The prior …I do like the idea of actual fishing equipment though. The grav gun seems like a cheatHigh Flier - Fling a fish 100m into the air.
Airborne - Catch air in the Seamoth. When I learned of the Grav Gun (as I call it), fishing became a breeze. Right click, left click, right click, left click, om nom nom nom.I thought it meant the electronic ENTertainment GAL you could have pop in and ... well ... entertain you.(Quote)
My head already hurts too much from the multi-purpose room doorways(Quote)
If its based on the snap grid, I don't see why not. Making a 2w x 1d for a gradual slope, or a 1 x 1 for a steep slope (maximum slope I'd imagine... hard running up a 1w x 2d).
Yes please. With salt on top.
Remotely accessing the storage though, not so much. I don't see a hatch on the inside of the ship for the storage reach, so thats a bit of a stretch.
But Not being able to look at my PDA, or eat …(Quote)
Many times the ladder is placed in a way that most blocks my way of travel. So I get frustrated and have to stick them in dead ends so they are out of the way. But then it makes going up/down levels more cumbersome.
Slo…Wow, all I hope for is just seeing 'distance to beacon' added on those lol! (they exist on signals, why not beacons?... those are even more advanced than a signal you received).
Last night, was pondering why are 'data signals' taking up inventory space in a locker. And why do I have to equip these.... why are these 'signals' and beacons not part of a tab in my PDA that lets me toggle them on and off.
Although I …
