    Proteus.

I think thats the name of the movie.. anyway from what little I could understand of the butchered story of this movie... theres people out on a boat in the middle of an ocean. The boat sinks. They get in a raft and drift to an abandoned oil rig. On this oil rig theres a lot of automatic weapons, which they happen to pick up and use as if they're trained soldiers, even though their a bunch of drunken civilians. Theres this monster fish thing. I stopped watching it.

I watch ALOT of films..because..well..I'm a geek so i've seen some crap in my life but on the mainstream side of things i'd have to agree mainly with things like Titanic, Scary Movie etc etc

Movie I hate the most is a film called "The Amazing Mr Blunden" that my mum loves and made me watch all the damn time when i was younger. Its about some poor kids, who go with there mother to be cleaners in this bigass house...then they meet the ghosts of there great grandparents when they were kids, and have to stop them from dying..then they get the house...and this big fat guy called Mr Blunden keeps turning up all the time and talking at them in a funny voice.

    Don't watch it.

Back up man, "The Postman" was great. Anyways..

Battlefield Earth was horrid, extremely. However someone mentioned earlier that books can't be superb and the movie horrible. They can, and they are quite often. Jurassic Park2/3(both were sorta mixed up with pieces of JP2, the book, in them) were both horrid. Battlefield Earth(easily the best novel I've ever read) was revoltingly pathetic. Starship Troopers(incredible military book, highly recommend) was also gimp.

Most books-turned-movie are horrible, especially if the book is great. Seems like some sort of weird inverse law or something <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

I just spent $4.15 on 'A Clockwork Orange'. Wow that movie could have been great but it was too clouded by 70's porn. Seriously, I couldn't even watch the full movie.

BattleField Earth, Jurassic Park 2 and 3, Tomb Raider.

    i could go on

How could you not like that sinny? It was highly styleized, it was wonderfully written, horrorshow acted, and stayed (almost) true to the book, or at least the feel of it. If you didn't enjoy that picture, then I must govoreet there is something wrong with your glazzies, or perhaps you need a tomtick of spat.'

For those of you who are into MST3K, may I simply remind you of the second worst movie they ever watched, called "The Hand of Manos" (go Torgo! Go Torgo!)

And the absolutely worst movie that the MST3Kers had to watch... "Red Zone Cuba"

The perfect example of intentional humor is the holoroom scene towards the end of the movie.  In order to stall Jason's killing spree, the crew members manage to get him into a holoroom and they set it to be Camp Crystal Lake.  There Jason soon finds two (holographic) half-naked gals on sleeping bags.  The film jumps back to another scene for a few moments, and when the scene is back to the holoroom, he has the two girls stuffed in the sleeping bag and he's swinging it around, smacking it into trees, throwing it to the ground, stomping on it, etc.

It's pure comic genious!!  I was in tears laughing the first time I saw it.  Trust me, the DVD rental cost is probably worth it just for that scene alone!!  <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--><!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah, that was one of the best scenes evar. The rest of the movie sucked though :/ The worst movie ever would probably be? <a href='http://maddox.xmission.com/qotd_sucked.html' target='_blank'>Queen of the Damned.</a>

    House 2: The Second Story

Wait, that movie is so bad its good to laugh at...
It's amazing the kinds of things you see watching the Sci Fi channel at non-prime-time.

I hate school. I hate watching movies in school. I would rather have my balls tied to the flag pole and be risen above the school in shame than read "Where the lilies bloom". I don't care who you are... that is the worst book ever written. My teacher loved it... why? She was satan. They actually made a movie about this book. I never have seen anything that matched the horrible qualities of that movie.

lord of the rings: the two towers.

now, this isnt the WORST movie i've seen, but it dissapointed me, compared to the book. (mind you, even the second book, was abit boring compared to the first)

Of course, if you havent read the book, its one of the best movies ever.

But they distorted the story just that little bit too much, and added in so much junk (gah, Arwen love scenes suck) it sort of ruinied it for me.
I eagerly await the Extended DVD version, so that they put in the stuff they never should of taken out. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

cant wait for ROTK, the best book, the best film....and adding shelob to it, is a decision of genius, i wont say why cos it may spoil things.

The Postman i probably my all time worst movie in any category... ever... Any other film mentioned in this topic could probably be withstanded in a case of severe hangover or incredible boredom, but Postman... no dice

I really feel sorry for ol Kevin. The Untouchables and JFK were pretty good. I would even consider watching waterworld again but that one... oh my..

Worst movie ever made is definitely Ghosts of Mars, it was kinda neat for the first 10 minutes but then it made no sense at all, i must of counted around 60 plot holes just watching it the first time. For thos of you who haven't seen it i'll give you a sampling.

There are these zombies who are the "ghosts of mars" when they are killed there "spirit" travels to the nearest living host, so you'd think after killing tons of them and having every living person transformed they'd stop killing them right. Wrong the movie ends with them blowing up a nuclear reactor to kill them all, the red mist of there spirits then heads to the capitol, and the guards all charge at it! ITS A BIG FLOATING MIST THAT TAKES OVER YOUR MIND! WTH are you gonna do when you charge it?

    so in closing...worst movie ever.
