I am surprised noone posted screenshots of this yet, so I will go ahead and do so. Since I am a lazy bum, I will just upload the pictures in multiple posts, as you can upload only one per post.
Anyway, this is the HL2 engine video stress test that comes with the beta. It shows several water, reflection, lighting and fire effects. Especially the water makes the fps drop drastically, I get around 30 with water in sight. My video settings are highest model, texture and shadow, all water reflections, vsync enabled, 2x AA and 16x Anisotropic Filtering. For some reason, when I go higher than 2x AA, it makes reflections on flat surfaces (but not water) go all purple. This is the eye candy !

well i just edited it hopefully its better, but hey the screen shot was high quality before I shrunk it and sucked all the color out of it by making it a .gif
Bleh. I can't even play. Every time I launch it the splash screen comes up for a second, then the whole thing crashes to the desktop without so much as an error message. Can anyone help me with that?
Your bullets register but you can't see it. In CS/CZ you can easily see where your shots go and adjust your recoil accordingly. Not in CSS. People always went on how CS was never realistic and now they cry when something like this is implimented.

And you can bhop in CS 1.6 by the way.

Probably a place holder just in case.
If you saw that one German preview of css where it showed off italy and cbble, in cbble the guy had a p228 and a shield in first person.
