Well, CS' gameplay to me ain't bad. The maps could be a bit more unique in today's standard, but their still fun, and so are the weapons.
I myself more than anything like the FRICTION effects on the ragdolls. Depending if its a gun, or a body, or a spent nade, or glass, whatever, that rolls down, say, a side of a crate- it goes at a different speed, and does different things. The gun, it goes to the bottom and topples over. The body scratches against the crate(you get the sound), then just kinda stops, while propped up, against the ground. Spent nade(like a fb, or smoker) rolls to the bottom. Glass slides down until it hits the bottom, and shatters.
I've been lucky enough to get pretty good servers, devoid of A-Holes. Maybe the Midwest/East Coast attitude just sucks.

aye, i managed to find some good servers to play on, and so far im liking everything i see...
today me and a friend managed to crash the game tho, bind a key to give a weapon and spam the key and g to get masses of guns all over map and making huge gun towers <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->. then nade em quick before source dies from all the guns xD

Oh, but does anyone know any commands that are anti-teleporting? What happens is, is every 3-5 seconds, I'll suddenly here my footsteps a hundred times a second, then teleport back to where I was when they started. Its REALLY effing annoying, not to mention, everyone else sees me as just some nub.
Yes its far too CS-ey (nasty side effect of being CS). I was playing on an FF server, and threw a nade. Nub runs after nade and dies. For the next 19 rounds he'd shoot me in the head as soon as he could (right after the round started). I was of course watching a movie the whole time on another monitor. Quite funny watching all the trouble he went to. He'd take time to put on the silencer then shoot me, then retry. I'd just dance around a bit to make it look like I wasn't AFK (which I basically was). On the plus side I had some neat deaths. Once he naded me and my body flew into a corner and stood upright so he kept on shooting me thinking I was still alive <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Its also funny how many people just run around shooting the barrels and litter, ignoring the enemy team completely (mostly because said team is also running around bouncing off barrels).

The rest of the world is still detailed (not the best, but still detailed), while the characters look almost cell-shaded. Wouldn't that still attest to a lower-quality player model? I suppose the game could save in-game images in lower quality, but that would make entirely no sense, at least to me.
Also of note: the characters still don't mesh well with the walls, and still fall into them!
Sure that's not an old version that allowed grenade jumping?

Currently the command to take a screenshot is "jpeg". To save them as tga type this in the console : bind F5 "screenshot" and it will save them as .tga

Source Engine: Mmm. It runs silky smooth on my computer and mostly I just stare at the floor tiles inside that hallway on Dust.

It's been adressed.
It feels less floaty the view-bob and weapon-swing feel just right and there game and graphics just gel better together.
Plus Source doesn't have a heart attack any time someone shoots me.
