I like the idea of a 2nd matrix but it is too much to rap up in one last movie which i can assure you with 100 percent accuracy is the last of the martix movies <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> my uncle is a production assistant on the movie so i got some inside info which i could share but dun want to ruin it so in all seriousness the idea of a 2nd marix is good but off base <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> hehe sry to say it but this topic is about a non existent element
How about we look at the Revolutions trailer? What do you think of it?
Looks like Smith becomes a super-virus, for one (a gigantic legion of Smiths; I think that he's the one who will eventually destroy the Matrix through pure attrition). Looks like the machines will fight their way into Zion. Looks like that asian gatekeeper program will be doing some fighting; maybe people (Merril-whatever) are going to be coming after the Oracle? And Trinitiy and Morpheus will still be fighting lots of goons.
I tried to bring that point up before. Alright its never outright stated, but just think for a while that Agents are programs. Obviously smith can smithicate them. Now as stated, the Oracle, Architect, etc, etc, etc, could be counted as programs. Like I said before, Smith is gaining extreme amounts of power both in and out of the Matrix.

Remember that Neo almost gets overwritten, and likens it to his experience in the hallway: just like dying, he said.
If reloaded suggests the rebooting of the matrix, than why would that not be the 3rd film where it is most likely to be reloaded, if infact it is reloaded?
Neo is there because he was created to go there, to do what he does..
The oracle was created to deceive Neo in choosing the path to save humanity, i think that this is a test to seperate him from the supposed other six "ones"..
Everything in the matrix is not real, from people to structures, so in this fact i was not suprised when we find out the oracle is a program to help the humans.. I would not think that the oracle is not helping the humans, she is a program created to lead Neo to the "reloading" of the matrix.
Morpheus, i think he is also a program, he says "If the war could be other tommorow, isnt that worth fighting for.. Is'nt that worth dying for?". This could lead to the other 6 "ones" choosing the path to save humanity.. Also, what happens to them once they chose that option?
Neos dreams, in his dream about Trinity, we see her getting shot, but is that her landing into the car on the ground? No. We only see one body, what about the Agent, does he some how disapear? I think that this means that Trinity dying has not been completed, the choice is up to him whether Trinity dies or not, he see's these dreams because he is the one to make the choices.. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Damn im confusing myself now.. Wth?
Bain or cain or what ever he is, i did not see his name mentioned anywhere.. Well this was in Neo's dream, we do not know infact if it comes true, but the dream he had about Trinity infact did come true. In this dream we see the actual change of him occur and go into the matrix, this is probably to show the fact that it cannot be prevented as the program has been coded for this to happen..
Earlyier on, people said that the Neb emp'd its self, it didnt, it was a bomb from a sentinal, launched into it.
The matrix was a good film, but i think i over hyped it.. 8/10

They didn't. ALL of the neos chose to save trinity. WAtch the screens, they al head to the same door.
Then architect laughs and says something along hte lines of 'i knew it bwahahaha i'm so evil hehe' And if you want a plot spoiler for number 3, somone i know has seen some of number 3, not just preweiws, and says that the real world is another matrix, and the third one the 'real' real world is what the current 'real world' is being copied from. Also, the neo in the 2nd matrix has an exact duplicate in the real world, and whenever one punches, so does the 'real' one, whenver one opens his mouth, so does the 'real' one. thats it for now.

Read the script as posted earlier in the thread. It's fairly obvious that Neo is different from his predeccessors. Neo is the only one that chooses to go back to the Matrix instead of saving humanity. If you can't figure that out from the script alone, go see the movie again; it's worth the money anyway.
I'm going to make a longer post later, but I need to finish writing it and proofread it first. Yeah, it's that long.
Edit: There is no second Matrix. I remember reading an interview at least a year ago, maybe right after the original came out, that stated the contrary. I wish I could find it. In any case, a second Matrix would be a lame, campy cliche that no one would find original or interesting.

I was very amused by the name. The Merovingian dynasty, as someone stated before, ruled in France between 447-751 ad. The first king of the dynasty, Merovech, is counted as a somewhat legendary individual, and IIRC no records of the dynasty before him exist. Some rather esoteric sources claim that the Merovingians were actually descendants of the bloodline of Jesus.

How could they be a descendant of Jesus? Jesus never had kids.
And also, everybody keeps assuming the Architect meant the Oracle as the "mother" of the matrix. He never actually says this! Neo says it. It doesn't make it true. I think they wanted to lead the audience to think that, but they are setting us up for a twist in the plot later. The oracle is genuine. It isn't the oracle that is misleading, it is the Architect.
*EDIT* I found some awesome songs from Matrix and Matrix Reloaded. Check out the songs "The passportal" by team sheep, "Clubbed to death" by Rob d, and of course the infamous lounge fight scene if you haven't already. Kickass songs! */EDIT*
Yes, she will be played in a different manner in the third film.
Some of you guys have gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far into the plot here - I think the reality of the plot is far simpler than it seems. Ie: The matrix is a computer program thing, an OS. Where is the "menubar"? what about a "start button"? "internet explorer" anyone? How about drivers, .dll files? These can answer many confusing things in the plot. AS for neo and the sentinel things - maybe his brain eimited a frequency of something that the Sentinels did not like?
